We have become so used to our local pubs closing that it is heartening when one reverses the trend . The Old Ship in Cadmore End has been closed for 15 years so it is wonderful to see it reopening after such a hiatus . George and I enjoyed a ride up to it last night and found a lovely pub, warm welcome , great b**r and excellent garden. It is a very pleasant ride from Marlow, up to Frieth crossroads, then to Fingest , andthen a good climb up Chequers lane .There is a terrific bridlepath you can take on the return from Cadmore End Common down to Fingest for those on Gravel or Mountain bike.

Adam from Activate Apprenticeships has come in to award Cassius with his level two Cytech qualification and completion of his bike mechanic apprenticeship . His final test required a full day of assessments with an examiner which involved timed limited wheels builds and full bike strip down and rebuild. Congratulations to Cassius, a great achievement .

Electric gravel bikes are becoming increasingly popular. A number of customers have requested a flat handlebar option rather than road bike style drop-bars.
Here we have a funky new Trek Checkpoint + SL6 which we have converted to a flat-bar. If this sort of thing appeals, give us a shout!

Christine, Louise and Sue are good friends and have recently bought e.Bikes that they are enjoying on regular rides together . They were keen to learn how to do a puncture so joined Trevor's Free Saturday morning course this morning . If a flat happens they now know what to do !

Sunday saw Transition town Marlow's family friendly bike ride. It was a gentle 4 mile pedal around the Marlow loop (look out for the blue stickers on lamp posts). Dan and family joined a good number of other local riders of all ages for a pleasant morning spin. It's helping re-enforce the need to think before before just jumping in the car for short local trips. A big thank you to all those involved in organising the annual event.
