London Marathon 2026 💙🏃‍♀️

What an unreal day. My first ever marathon and honestly one of the best experiences of my life.

Went in aiming for 3:20… but at mile 9 my body had other plans 🫠 (big thanks to my period for showing up unannounced). At that point I made the call to let go of the goal, slow it right down, and just enjoy every moment.

And I really did — crowds, energy, smiles all the way… even stopped for a pint at mile 23 🍺 because why not?!

Not the race I planned, but somehow even better. So proud, so grateful, and already want to do it all over again🥰🥹

Ashby 20 recap…

Not the race I imagined, but one I’m incredibly proud of. Mentally and physically the toughest one I’ve ever face, at one point I genuinely thought I wouldn’t make it to the finish. But I kept going (albeit a lot slower than planned). No matter the time, I finished… and that means everything.

Thank you to everyone who was there to support me on the course and to those cheering me on from the sidelines (Particularly who stayed on the phone to me for over an hour whilst I cried and complained and got me a beer ready for when I crossed the line🥺) and also to .does.fitness who provided me with my own motorbike support crew!!🥹 couldn’t have done it without you all!

Not taking this one as a loss because the mental resilience I proved to myself I have is worth more than any PB…

Next stop London on 4 weeks😆😆

race week is finally here 🏎️🫠

On the line up for me this week we have some nice easy miles, race pace intervals (my fave!!), stretching, carb loading and trying not to overthink everything before the start line lol

the work is done, now it’s time to trust the training ✨

Anyone else have a race this weekend?🫣

That moment when 2km at marathon pace in training feels like a struggle…
but somehow you are supposed to run 42.2km at the same pace on race day.

It’s not in your head. There’s a reason:

Training runs usually happen with
• tired legs from accumulated mileage
• no taper
• lower glycogen
• no race-day adrenaline

Race day gives you the opposite:
✨ fresh legs from tapering
🍝 carb-loaded muscles
⚡ adrenaline boost
🙌 crowd energy

Same pace. Completely different conditions.

Training is meant to feel harder. That’s what makes race day feel easier.

Trust the process - Trust the plan 💓

March is endometriosis awareness month and I just wanted to shed a light on balancing a chronic illness with training for something so physically demanding such as a marathon💛

Marathon training and running in general with Endometriosis isn’t always straightforward but over time I’ve found a few small things that help me keep moving — whether that’s slowing the pace, prioritising rest, or listening to my body when it needs a break.

These things don’t “fix” endometriosis, but they definitely help make running work for me. It’s so important to remember that on those bad days just getting out the door and showing up is a huge win.

Everyone’s experience with endometriosis is different, but if you’re navigating running (or any movement) with chronic pain, you’re not alone💛

Leicester 10k - my fourth attempt at a 10k pb and I finally cracked it!!!

Mid marathon block and a super last min entry (and a late one the night before🫠) so went in with low expectations and come out with 44.20 - nearly 3 mins faster than my last attempt🥰

It definitely has given me a bit of a confidence boost that my fitness has improved!

3 weeks til Ashby 20 and 8 until London!!!🥳🫠🫣😆

Ps. This was the song playing for the last few mins of the race - I highly recommend if you need a bit of a push towards the end😂

London marathon training diaries🏃🏼‍♀️🫣🥰💪🏼😇😅

Somehow I have made it to week 13???!!!

Life has been busy and the past few weeks have just been about me finding my rhythm, Balancing a new full-time job (and starting a degree!!) with marathon training hasn’t been easy, but I’m finally settling into a routine that works for me. Mixing in strength work and a bit of Hyrox training to stay strong and (hopefully) injury-free along the way.

Not long to go!!
