Can you see me? I'm spying on Mother to see if she's making my breakfast 🤭
Also, that fly mask I'm wearing? Destroyed it 👍 it's literally being held on by my ears and nothing else here.
Good thing Mother had the foresight to order a new one when she'd seen that I'd put a small tear in it at the start of the week.
I must be becoming too predictable.

Hi friends!

I have been quiet for a very long time and it isn't my fault!
Mother 😒 decided to go on holiday and left me. She's the one who writes these blogs for me whilst I tell her what to say. I had a go at writing one by myself but apparently it's a lot easier when you have opposable thumbs.
Trying to press the separate letters on the tiny keyboard when you just have a hoof is quite impossible.
So I contracted conjunctivitis specially for Mother for when she came home.
Luckily, Aunty Neet looked after me and sorted the worst of the eye issues which I am grateful for.
Mother cussed at me and exclaimed that she'd only been gone for four days when she saw the state of me upon her return.
🤷🏼‍♀️
I'm all better now btw 😁

Hi friends!

I went out to a Pleasure Ride today and let me tell you, it was hard!
We went up hill and down dale and I'm sure it's the longest route I've ever done.
I behaved myself impeccably 😁 I behaved when there were horses in front, horses in the distance, horses behind and no horses at all!
We were out for nearly 4 hours and myself and Mother were on our own for about 3 of those.
We didn't mind though, it was nice to potter along looking at the wonderful views.
Anywhom, I'm back in my field now. Mother said something about a holiday so that will be nice. Although I'm sure it won't be long before I get bored of relaxing!

Hi friends!

Here I am again, munching hard in preparation for work 💪
There ain't no rest for the wicked you know 🔥
This time I took out a walk and trot guided ride around pleasley. Once again, new friends were made and I behaved myself professionally and impeccably.
In fact Mother was pleasantly surprised at how professionally I did behave and rewarded me with pats and a sneaky sweetie.
What can I say? I'm an old hand at this guiding malarkey now 💅
And yes, those are emergency bands on my breastplate from the last TWO endurance rides I went on.
Mother tried pulling them off to no avail and was too lazy to find scissors or a knife to cut them off with. So there they will stay for a little while longer 😂

Hi friends!

I went off to work again today. Mother said I need to start paying for myself and that's exactly what I intend to do.
I was a very good boy and made two new friends.
I like going around the woods - it's very peaceful and gives off such a chill vibe.
And it's the only place that I'll stand quietly after coming straight off the trailer 🤭
As you can see from the photo below, I was getting myself prepared for work by munching hard on my hay net 😆
Anyway, I'm back in the field again now. Got to get my rest in as I've got another guided ride to do on Tuesday 💪

Hi friends!

What a day 😮‍💨
After last night's thunderstorm (yes I was out in it) I was glad to come in for breakfast. Mother was pleased to see me all in one piece plus all four shoes still on.
Then we went on the hack that we were supposed to do yesterday but didn't because neither of us wanted to get wet through.
I was so excited at the prospect of going out that when Mother led me to the mounting block I started squealing.
Mother paused for a millisecond, probably wondering whether or not to lunge me first, but then just jumped straight on.
Honestly friends, I'm not sure if Mother is just brave or stupid at times. I don't think she knows either.
Anyway, after I bounced around a bit, we went off around our usual route, meeting a couple of friends along the way.
Mother left me in the stable when we got back to the yard (I had been a good boy as usual) only to return a few hours later to tack me up again.
Turns out we had a lesson in the late afternoon.
I'll tell you all now I was not impressed. I'd just done 6 miles up and down the local hills, what did she mean I then had to spend another half hour in the school?
Actually I quite enjoyed it to be honest. We did poles, leg yield and quarters in, all finished off with canter!
Anyway, I'm back in the field planning to have a good old snooze. Hopefully the weather holds out tonight so I can lay flat out and scare everyone into thinking there's something wrong with me 😆

Hi friends!

Look at my face.
I know we wanted it to rain but this is a bit much all at once 🫠 I'm spending the day inside and Mother is considering leaving me overnight as well depending on what the weather is doing this evening.
Both Mother and I are a bit put out because we were planning a hack for today. Mother has been working A LOT lately and I only get to see her for a brief moment each day.
That brief moment does include feeding me so I'm not complaining too much but still.
I've got a couple of jobs coming up with the Guided Rides soon which I'm looking forward to. I enjoy making new friends.
Mother has also mentioned that I need to start paying for myself again 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi friends!

It's raining! Hurray! 🌧️🙌
And now everything is sloppy and wet... Including me. I don't like being wet 🫠
Mother brought me into my stable as usual for my breakfast and I quite fancied staying there for the day but it was a firm no and I was put back in the field. Mother said I spend enough time in the stable over winter so to make the most of living out.
And we have trees to get under and a hedge to get behind if the weather gets that bad 🤷🏼‍♀️
Can't wait for the grass to grow though!

Hi friends!

We went out on a hack today. The weather was glorious and cool with a lovely breeze. I didn't get bothered by flies at all!
We tootled round our usual route. Mother is still determined to strengthen my hind end so this includes polework and walking up big hills, which we happen to have a lot of 🫠
And then back home and into the field where I immediately took a nap.
I had worked hard you know!

Hi friends!

After a whole week of doing nothing thanks to the millionth heatwave this year, Mother finally said it was cool enough to do something 😁
So we toddled off to the school to do some pole work. We did some raised poles on the lunge in walk and trot and I was a good boy once I listened to Mother's instruction of 'slow down'.
I just want to go fast everywhere 🐎💨
I really enjoyed my pole work session 😊
And then it was back into the field for some hay. Both Mother and I have forgotten what green grass looks like 😪
Mother says we'll go out on a hack tomorrow so I can't wait for that 😁
