Busy weekend again on the long distance New limits stuff.

Last weekend 5 at London marathon
This weekend
1 Thames Path 100
3 at pennine barrier 50

Next week, 2 at the lap windermere.

Not to mention a massive FOURTEEN of us hitting Coniston for the The Montane Lakeland 50 & 100 in July

At new limits we don't just talk racing, we do racing!

As shocked as I am about the Dragon's Back Race and Northern Traverse & Lakes Traverse coming back from the dead like an extra from Micheal Jacksons thriller?

Think "oh s**t" my race was off and all I've been doing is eating jaffa cakes and playing angry birds?

We've a few places at NLRC available for people who want to slay the dragon or carry a pebble from st bees to Robin hoods bay.

Reach out, we don't take running too serious here and I won't break your bank.

At new limits we are busy most weekends but this weekend was especially great....

Yesterday a 100 mile debut, almost exactly as expected.

Today a marathon debut.... 90 seconds within the prediction.

Am I magic.?

No.

I. Just deal in BS free advice, that doesn't involve fuelling on just a banana like some curly haired twonk has told you to do this week 🙄.

Team New Limits Run Coaching are jeffing fantastic you know.

After the announcement that the northern traverse is not happening, and that I've lost probably close to 2 grand.....

So far tonight I've had.

An offer to refund me completely.
Two offers to crew me if I fancied a self supported effort.
A free entry to a diff race.
An offer of a crowd funder for lost monies.
Probably 15 messages of sheer frustration and asking how they can help.

Now all these people pay ME for a service, not the other way around, yet they are still good enough people to check in and see if I need anything.

Runners, I fecking love them!

Dragon's Back Race 2024, my biggest and best adventure I'd ever had and the only race where I thought I wasn't good enough to be there.

I made it to Cardiff, I distracted the dragon enough for her to let me past and i still can't believe I ran down an entire country.

Mrs New limits asked me today if I'd ever do it again, I said no......... 😉

Blimey! It's the end of another year again!

Firstly and most importantly, thank you to all of you who have trusted me as your coach. We've had some bloomin adventures that's for sure.

Secondly, if you aren't part of the best god damn band in the land, reach out in the new year, the cult (I mean NLRC) may accept you into our flock.

Personally, I've had a quieter year on the hills, who knew lakeland 100 and the dragons back in 6 weeks would take so much out of me in 2024 🙄.

The business is growing massively, the feedback from my athletes is I'm doing a mostly good job, I'm happy and most importantly there is always loads of cheese in the fridge and peanut butter in the cupboard!

Of all the silly s**z I did this year, the talk at the run the moors presentation evening may have been my most scary!
