Sky reports Mata is having a medical this evening and his move will be announced by tomorrow morning. His fee is reported to be £37 million and would break the club transfer record of £30.75 we paid to Spurs for Berbatov back in 2008.

Lately, we've also been heavily linked with Bayern's Dante out of the blue. Dante's agent has immediately come out and said that his client was followed by United two years back though he eventually signed for Bayern. Dante himself that he is happy at Bayern but he doesn't know where his future lies and would wait until 31st January 2014.

Apparently we're close to sign Juan Mata from Chelsea for £32million according to Guillem Balague (Sky Sports). As per Sky sources on Tuesday night, the talks are "progressing well".

So Anderson is flying today to Italy to complete his Loan move to Fiorentina. He'll remain with them till the end of the season with an option to be bought.

David Moyes was personally scouting in Italy watching Cagliari vs Juventus.

Players who were reportedly scouted were: Pogba, Vidal, Astori, Marchisio.

Meanwhile, Neville was scouting Spanish U-21 youngster Saul Niguez in the Getafe vs Rayo Vallecano game.

Apart from this, United scouts were also watching the Benfica-FC Porto game in which multiple players were scouted including: Mangala, Alex Sandro, Fernando, Garay, Lucho Gonzalez, Matic.

Manchester United are planning a January swoop for Ajax contract rebel Stefano Denswil.

The 20-year-old centre back is considered one of the rising stars of Dutch football, having firmly established himself in the Ajax side this season.

But his stint with the Amsterdam side looks like being cut short, with United hoping to take advantage of a contract row to sign him.

David Moyes has been handed regular scouting reports, with the Old Trafford boss believed to be particularly impressed with his power and pace.

Denswil would cost around £5million, and United would be willing to loan him back to Ajax until the season is out to help push through a move.
