🌹 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦 | 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟲 🌹

And just like that, Lancashire's National Finals campaign comes to an end ❤️

🔴 Lewis Rimmer took to the greens today in the 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 Last 16, carrying the Red Rose into the final event of the Championships.

Facing Josh Tingey (Kent), Lewis produced a superb performance and at one stage looked set to progress, opening up a 17-11 lead and putting himself firmly in control of the contest.

⚫ With victory within touching distance, Lewis held game on two separate occasions, needing just the final shot to get himself over the line. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, with Josh battling back to turn the game around and eventually claim the win 21-20.

❤️ As Lancashire's final representative, Lewis can be immensely proud of the way he competed and the way he represented Heaton Hall, Southport and Lancashire on the national stage.

𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨, 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗘 🌹

Another day of National Finals action and more Lancashire players doing the Red Rose proud at Victoria Park ❤️

🔴 In the 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀, Nigel Williams and Grant Howland enjoyed a brilliant start to their campaign. After receiving a walkover in Round One, they edged a thrilling second-round encounter against Lewis Baker and Mack May (Huntingdonshire), coming through 14-13 after to reach the Last 16.

Their run eventually came to an end this morning against Kyle Anderson and Scott Edwards (Wiltshire), who progressed with a 21-12 victory. Two big bowls Scott did the damage when the duo held big counts of six & four through the middle of the context. Despite the disappointment, Nigel and Grant can be incredibly proud of reaching the final stages of a National Championship and securing a National Finals win along the way.

⚫ In the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀, Hayley Milligan faced Maddie Burgess (Leicestershire). Hayley battled hard throughout before narrowly missing out 21-19 in a closely fought contest. Another excellent performance from Hayley, who has once again represented Lancashire superbly on the national stage.

🌹 From Fours to Triples, Pairs to Singles, Lancashire players have flown the flag with pride throughout these Championships. The results haven't always gone our way, but the effort, commitment and quality on show have been second to none.

We are not finished just yet…

🔴 Lewis Rimmer took to the greens today in the 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀, carrying the Red Rose into Lancashire's final event of the Championships.

First up was a tough opening-round clash against Conor Mathers (Essex). Lewis produced a superb performance to come through 21-16, booking his place in Round Two.

Lewis was back on the green later in the day against Finley Williamson (Gloucestershire). Once again, he rose to the occasion, securing another victory, this time 21-14, to reach the Last 16 of the National Finals.

Tomorrow, Lewis returns to action looking to keep his run going.

🔴 𝗟𝗘𝗪𝗜𝗦 𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 🆚 Joshua Tingey (Kent)

The pair will meet in the Last 16 at 9:00am, with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

A memorable day for Lancashire in the 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀, with Nigel Williams and Grant Howland giving us plenty to celebrate at Victoria Park ⭐️

🔴 The Lancashire duo received a walkover in their opening match before taking on Men’s Fours Finalists Lewis Baker and Mack May (Huntingdonshire) in Round Two.

⚫ In a contest that went right down to the wire, Nigel and Grant held their nerve to edge through 14-13, booking their place in the Last 16 of the National Finals.

🌹 It was another terrific Lancashire performance and a reward for all the hard work that has gone into reaching Leamington. Tomorrow they return to action looking to keep their run going when they face Kyle Anderson and Scott Edwards (Wiltshire) in the Last 16.

𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗨𝗣... 𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡’𝗦 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘𝗦

Tomorrow also sees the start of Hayley Milligan's challenge in the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀.

🔴 Hayley will take on Maddie Burgess (Leicestershire) at 12:45pm as she continues her National Finals campaign.

Many of you will remember Hayley's excellent run earlier in the Championships, and she now gets another opportunity to showcase her talent on the national stage.

🌹 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦 | 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟯 🌹

Talk about giving yourselves a mountain to climb...

🔴 Christine Travis and Eleanor Bennie were in action today in the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀, taking on Nicola Drew and Christine Barradell (Sussex) in the opening round.

Lancashire found themselves trailing early on, but refused to let the game drift away. End by end, they fought their way back into the contest and turned what looked an unlikely comeback into a genuine opportunity.

By the final end, Christine and Eleanor had dragged themselves right back into the match and were within touching distance of victory, only to be pipped by a single shot at the finish.

There was obvious disappointment afterwards because the pair showed tremendous character to battle back from so far behind and gave themselves every chance of pulling off a remarkable result.

A special mention to Eleanor, who stepped in at short notice following Barbara Knowles' withdrawal due to personal circumstances and embraced the opportunity to represent Lancashire on the national stage alongside Christine ❤️

𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗨𝗣... 𝗠𝗘𝗡'𝗦 𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗦

Tomorrow the Red Rose is back on the greens as Nigel Williams & Grant Howland begin their National Finals campaign in the 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀.

Following a walkover, they will face Lewis Baker & Mack May (Huntingdonshire) or Martin Allsopp & Bradley Freer (Leicestershire) in the Last 32.

Two experienced competitors, one more chance to fly the Lancashire flag, and another opportunity to create special memories at Victoria Park.

🌹 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦 | 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟮 🌹

A day of mixed emotions for Lancashire in the 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀.

🔴 Dan Catterall, Anthony Booth-Young and Lewis Rimmer got their National Finals campaign off to the perfect start, edging out Andy Fowkes, Matt Pownall and Will Walker (Northamptonshire) 17-16 after an extra end in a thrilling opening-round contest.

⚫ The victory earned the lads a place in Round Two against Essex, and despite finding themselves 8-0 down early on, they fought their way back into the match and were right in the hunt heading into the closing stages. Unfortunately, the comeback fell just short despite a chance to claim the game on the final end.

Originally, Christine was due to partner Barbara Knowles in the Women's Pairs, but following Barbara's unfortunate withdrawal for personal reasons, Eleanor has stepped in to take her place.

While it isn't the route either player expected, it presents a fantastic opportunity for Eleanor and Christine to represent Lancashire together on the biggest stage in the sport 🤝

The pair will take on Nicola Drew and Christine Barradell (Sussex) at 12:45pm as they begin their National Finals campaign.

The Lancashire trio took on Jo Appleby, Liz Hubbocks & Jo Doherty (Worcestershire) in Round One. Despite a determined performance, the result didn't quite go our way and their National Finals journey came to an end.

Reaching Leamington is a fantastic achievement in itself, and Carol, Jill & Christine can be immensely proud of representing Lancashire on the national stage. Well played, ladies. ❤️

Not the result we wanted today, but plenty to be proud of.

Dan Catterall, Callum Fraser, Alan Whitehouse and Shayne Rimmer gave everything in a tight opening-round battle against Alan Auton, Chris Turner, Connor Hayes and Callum Sharp (Surrey).

Our lads were right in the contest across all 18 ends, but Surrey edged it 16-13 to bring Lancashire’s 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 campaign to a close.

It is always tough when the result does not fall your way, especially after such a close game, but reaching the National Finals and pulling on the Red Rose at Leamington is something to be genuinely proud of. Well played, lads. You represented Lancashire brilliantly.

A proud day for Lancashire at Victoria Park as our representatives competed in the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 National Finals.

🔴 Christine Travis, Carol Saunders, Helen Braddock and Barbara Knowles took on Elizabeth Anderson, Jemma Tuohy, Yasmina Hasan and Debbie Souter (Surray) in the opening round. Lancashire battled hard throughout before narrowly going down 18-13.

⚫ The scoreline doesn't reflect just how competitive the contest was. Lancashire remained in touch throughout and still had an opportunity to sn**ch the match on the final end against a rink who have previously lifted the National Women's Fours title.
