🐝 Last Saturday, this fabulous bunch of humans stood in front of an audience (a couple for the first time as soloists) and sang their hearts out.

It was brilliant. Singers holding the space for each other.

And yes - the silly pose was mandatory.

The Singing Hive Summer Showcase is one of my favourite days of the year, and this one was no exception. So proud of every singer in this room.

🐝 Excited to introduce my co-facilitator for INSIDE the SONG on 16 May - Marie Critchley.

Marie is an actor and educator, whose TV credits include The Casual Vacancy (BBC/HBO) and BAFTA-winning In the Flesh, and she currently teaches at The Arden School of Theatre in Manchester.

Marie brings serious craft into a warm, accessible space - and I can’t wait to work with her.

A few spaces are left!

When: Saturday, 16 May, 2.30-5pm
Where: The Edge Theatre, Chorlton, M21 9JG.

This workshop is for you if you’re:
- 16 +
- confident singing in front of others
- keen hobby singer or pre-professional
- classical, musical theatre, folk and pop styles of singing welcome
-you’re interested in developing your acting skills in a friendly, welcoming space

You will arrive with one song you know well and feel confident with.

Marie will guide you through acting techniques, exploring intention, character, truth, so that you leave with new tools to apply to any song - not just the one you’ve worked on.

Cost: £60 (£50 for members of The Singing Hive).
