Norden 6 Mile Road Race 2026

A great evening's racing for the Harriers with great race in dry but windy conditions. Top Man was Stuart Litster with a 6th Overall and an Age Cat prize, Top Lady was Jo Bishop with 6th Overall and 4th Age Cat. Our runners also bagged a couple of wins in their age cats - well done Fiona Bolton, Katie Lockwood and Zeynel Aydin.

Cake Race

Saturday was Saddleworth’s Cake Race, a very popular 10 mile across the moors towards Marsden and back. There is a cake competition and all the cake you can eat back at race HQ. The course involves 2 stream crossings and a tricky section through some woods. We were treated to perfect running conditions with the rain holding off and some sunshine....

Foe Edge

On Wednesday night, 8 Harriers took on Foe Edge, in Rossendale, the third championship race of the season. We had perfect racing conditions with blue skies and a fresh breeze. It started with an extremely steep climb from the start field up on to the moors with grassy trods, bridleways, loose stony paths and even a bit of bog (despite the recent dry conditions). The next race is soon…the cake race in Diggle on Saturday.
