🏔️ WE DID IT! 24 Miles. 3 Peaks. 11 Hours 15 Mins! ⏱️🏑
Last Saturday, our team tackled the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge! There were plenty of sore legs and broken bodies by the end, but the positivity and team spirit carried us through every mile. 😅💪
We originally set out to raise £700 for new junior goalkeeper kit & training gear... and we’ve raised £1,885 so far! 💥❤️

Our Crowdfunder is open until the end of August to raise as much as possible for the next generation of Urmston HC. If you can spare a few pounds to support us, every bit helps!

On August 15th, 2026, a few of our club members are taking on the grueling Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Today, they hit the trails and took on Kinder Scout for another brilliant practice walk! ⛰️🥾

⏱️ 24 miles, 3 peaks, all in under 12 hours

They are completing this massive challenge to raise money for the Urmston Hockey Club Junior section. 🏑

Our juniors are the absolute heartbeat of this club, and we want to give the next generation the start they deserve. We are aiming to raise £700 to buy essential new junior goalie kit and training gear. By investing in our youngest players today, we are protecting the future of Urmston HC and keeping our community's kids active for years to come.

From our future stars to our senior award-winners, what an unforgettable end to the season at Urmston HC! 🏑✨

🏆 Junior Presentation: Our U8–U14s smashed it this year! Huge thanks to Charlotte, Bronwen, and Kelly for a fab afternoon of certificates, smiles, and... surprise whistles for the parents! 🤣🤫

🥂 Senior Awards: We kicked off the day with an epic mixed game, followed by drinks and our big awards night. Huge congrats to all our winners across the Men’s, Women’s, and Development teams. From our Young Players of the Year to the legendary ‘Wallies of the Season’! 🏆👏

🏑 SUMMER HOCKEY IS BACK! ☀️
Urmston Hockey’s mixed summer league is officially underway on Thursday nights!

We’ve got four epic teams battling it out this year:

💚 Net Zero
💛 Yas’s Yellow Submarines
🖤 Urmston Blacks
❤️ Urmston Reds

We are only 2 weeks in, so there is still plenty of time to get involved. It’s incredibly social, super friendly, and the perfect way to stay active and meet great people this summer.

Urmston NW500 season got underway against Wilmslow today.

Unfortunately we couldn’t get the win but a 5 - 3 loss with a bare 11 is a fantastic result. Two fantastic goals by Becks and one by Gemma were the highlight of the day. Well played all!
