Today we want to recognise someone incredibly special to our club, our Head Coach, Elizabeth 💙
Over the past few years, Elizabeth has taken this club to heights we never thought possible. In just four years our club has grown by 70%, we’ve achieved multiple awards and we continue moving forward on an incredible trajectory.
What many people don’t see is the work that happens beyond the poolside. Elizabeth works full time like so many volunteers, yet gives countless hours to the club without being paid as Head Coach. She choreographs every routine, spends hours planning sessions, designing programmes, completing admin, organising competitions, and preparing swimmers to be the best they can be.
The dedication behind the scenes, the late nights, the planning, the creativity, is what makes this club what it is today. The work that no one else sees shows just how deeply she cares about her swimmers and this club.
Elizabeth is supported by an incredible committee and coaching team but the role she carries is a big one. She feels every moment because this club and these swimmers mean so much to her. When people expect big results or a medal and don’t fully understand this sport or the journey, she feels it! She wants it too, but remember, it doesn’t happen over night.
We simply can’t thank you enough. Your swimmers’ successes are your successes too.
