Last Saturday a team from our Under 8’s squad played a mini tournament at Manchester United’s Littleton Road Academy Pitches, which is also the training ground for the Salford City first team.

The majority of these boys have come through soccer school, and are about to embark on their second full season with the Griffins.

They didn’t give up and kept going in all the matches. They played with a positive attitude and kept strong as a team in a challenging environment. All the boys had some great individual moments throughout the day.

As coaches we were really proud of them all and it felt great to get this in the bag before going into the new season this weekend ⚽️

We are grateful to for having us and for giving every one of these young players memories they can keep for life.

These Griffins took pre-season training to new heights when they conquered Ben Nevis last weekend ⛰️

Finlay, Ethan, Owen and Reggie from the Under 11 Zebras showed great teamwork and determination in climbing the tallest mountain in the UK, having already scaled Snowdon and Scafell Pike in previous summers. Well done lads! 💪

Last night our Hough End Griffins Under 14s boys were invited to help demonstrate in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session with coaches from all over Greater Manchester run by at

The session focussed on skill development and capabilities and was attended by coaches from all over Greater Manchester, including three of our own HEG coaches.

Hough End Griffins Chairman Tom Westcott attended the event and said:

“These events are really useful for grassroots coaches to not only learn new ways and methods of coaching, but also to share ideas and experiences with coaches from other clubs. It was really great to see our lads listen, learn and represent the club so well in front of all those coaches.”

Super Saturday! ⚽️⚽️

Our U9s Griffins and Lions ended the season in style with outstanding performances on finals day in the Respect Cup 🏆

Over the last 5 weeks both teams have been playing in the tournament, which consisted of 3 x 15 min games each week, culminating in yesterday’s seeded finals matches.

Both teams were incredible in their respective matches - really showcasing how far they’ve come this season as a team and also as friends.

Lions won one, drew one and lost one. Griffins drew two and won one, making it a very close run overall result, but we just missed out on first place after our closest competitor scored in the final seconds of their match.

No trophies this time but we are all incredibly proud of how they played and demonstrated the Griffins values throughout the tournament and the season 🤍🖤

And the boys were still smiling as they went into their end of season pizza party in the park! 🍕

Thanks to our coaches for all their hard work, and amazing support from all our parents this year - roll on next season! ⚽️🤍🖤

Last Sunday our under 7 boys came runners up at a Juno FC Tournament.

The boys won 5 out of 7 group games with some great team performances, and went on to win their semi final before being edged out in the final during Golden Goal extra time ⚽️⚽️

The boys played phenomenally as a team - all getting some Hero moments throughout the day, which was recognised by some of the other teams.

We were invited to this tournament because of the way the boys have conducted themselves and played football this year - and they certainly showed that same conduct and passion at the tournament 🤍🖤

No trophy this time, but a medal and lots of fun was had! We’re very proud of you all! 🥇

Huge shoutout to our U11s Girls who came out on top at the Matthiola Tournament last weekend.

After a nervy final, it all came down to a nerve-wracking penalty shootout in which the Griffins prevailed thanks to Aya and Amelia, who both scored from the spot, and two great saves from Clara 🙌

They say never meet your heroes… but there’s nothing wrong with cheering them on! ⚽️ 🤩

Some of our young Wildcats got the opportunity to see our Under 11s in action in a post-season friendly at Hough End last night.

It was a great learning experience, with Coach Beth on hand to talk the Wildcats through the action.

These girls will be pulling on their very own Griffins shirt in September, and this was a brilliant opportunity for them to see what being part of the club is all about 🖤🤍

🚨 Exciting news! 🚨

Hot on the heels of our amazing first Wildcats match, we’re delighted to be launching new Wildcats training sessions on Saturday mornings starting this Saturday 9.30-11am! ⚽⚽⚽

Led by former semi-professional player Coach Beth, these fun and friendly sessions are designed to help girls build confidence, make new friends, stay active and discover a love of football in a welcoming and supportive environment. 🙌

No experience is needed. Whether your daughter already loves football or is simply looking to try something new, she’ll receive a warm Griffins welcome. 🤝

Our Tuesday Wildcats sessions will continue as normal. ✅
