I can see what the coach wants to do. Ex*****on just isn’t there.

I don’t think it was a horrible performance. Utds game state is changing to more possession based than chaos. The key negative was lack of creativity and attacking urgency.

Remember when Murtough and Arnold couldn't pursue any other transfer targets for TWO months just because they wanted to complete the De Jong deal first?

Now we have INEOS simultaneously working on FOUR player signings (Zirkzee, De Ligt, Ugarte, Branthwaite) and FOUR staff signings (Nistelrooy, Hake, Rouwelaar, Vivell) all at the same time.

This is what happens when you have a proper football structure with actual football people running the football side of a football club.

Starting this summer, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is involved in our transfers, Dave Brailsford is involved, Omar Berrada is involved, Jason Wilcox is involved, and Dan Ashworth might even be involved in some capacity despite not yet officially joining United.

We've been crying out for a proper football structure with experts making transfer decisions alongside the manager, and this is our first transfer window with INEOS who have already employed some of the best in class, so why not give them a chance?

If they've decided to sign Ugarte over Amadou Onana, then back the signing.

Don't let Twitter tacticos tell you that these experts are making the wrong decision.

If we sign Ugarte and he succeeds, good. Otherwise, it's part of the hit/miss process that often happens with signings, and NO club ever gets all their signings spot on. The most important thing is making more successful signings than failed ones.

Not going to pretend I've watched so much of him, but from the little I've seen, Ugarte is a decent player with so much room for improvement at just 23.

Olise to be ’s first summer signing?
has confirmed:
- Man Utd have been in contact with Olise and his entourage.
- The player is open to leaving Palace.
- The deal is 100% approved by those inside the Man Utd hierarchy.

David Ornstein confirms a £60m release clause and that Man Utd really like Olise.

Other sources have suggested Man Utd are secretly confident they will get this deal done and aim to move fast.

Olise is a big Man Utd fan.
Arsenal have kept an eye on him but he isn’t guaranteed starting over Saka. Chelsea love him but need to prioritise a ST over another RW.

Credible Man Utd transfer news ahead of the summer so far:
OUTS:
- Casemiro's exit is likely (Saudi interest and could bid around £30m).
- Man Utd will prioritise selling Greenwood and Sancho and are hoping for £70-80m combined.
- Varane, Martial, Williams, Heaton, Evans, and Amrabat are out of contract.
- Man Utd will listen to offers for Lindelof/Maguire (but only sell one).
- Eriksen is likely to leave and is not in plans going forward.
- AWB, Mejbri, Pellistri, Donny, Alvaro Fernandez are expected to be up for sale.
- McTominay could be sold but only for the right offer.

INS:
- Olise is a genuine target and official talks are expected to begin soon. A deal is expected to cost around £60m with a reported release clause between £55-£65m.
- Todibo remains high on 's CB list, and the player is open to the move.
- Branthwaite and Neves are appreciated, but Man Utd will only go for them at the right price (not in a position to be spending more than £65m on one signing this summer).
- Man Utd will sign a ST, CB, LB, and look to sign a midfielder, according to Fabrizio Romano.
- LB is not expected to cost more than £20m.
- Hjulmand, Fofana, and Onana have been followed the most in midfield.
- Sesko is highly rated, but INEOS may opt for a more experienced striker.
- INEOS plans to get deals done faster this summer and be more efficient (we may sign some players we haven’t been linked to yet).
