🤠 Why do I charge what I charge? 🤠
It’s a question that occasionally comes up, so I thought I’d explain.
Teaching a class is about far more than simply turning up and pressing play on a music system.
As a Chartered Physiotherapist, qualified fitness instructor and healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience teaching community exercise classes, I have invested heavily in my education, training and professional development.
✅ Chartered Physiotherapist
✅ Qualified Exercise to Music Instructor
✅ Fully insured
✅ PRS & PPL music licences in place
✅ Risk assessed classes
✅ First aid as are my team of helpers
✅ Ongoing professional development
✅ Professional venue hire and equipment costs
All of these things come at a cost, but they also ensure that classes are run safely, professionally and legally.
Whether I’m teaching Pilates, Zumba or Line Dancing, my aim has always been the same: to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where people can enjoy movement, build confidence, improve fitness and have fun.
Of course, everyone is free to choose the classes that suit them best, and there are many excellent instructors offering different experiences. But when you attend one of my classes, you’re not simply paying for an hour of dancing—you’re supporting a professional, insured, established local business with decades of experience behind it.
Most importantly, you’re joining a community that has been helping people move, laugh and stay active for over 25 years. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who continues to support my classes. It is genuinely appreciated.
