The Transit Maroc may have given me an idea…

After taking a race focussed commercial vehicle up the hill at Run For The Hills, I’ve started wondering:

What if someone built a race ready MS-RT Ranger?

🏁 Lower suspension
🏁 Big brakes
🏁 Serious aero
🏁 Plenty of power
🏁 Enough grip to start rucking up the tarmac

Completely unnecessary?

Absolutely.

Would I drive it?

Without hesitation.

The Mustang Darkhorse makes a statement 🐎 💨

Throwing it around the was one of those drives that reminds you why we do this in the first place - RAW V8 sound, sharp front end grip and enough confidence to properly lean on it lap after lap.

I could not believe how planted it felt especially when you really start pushing on.

The balance and aggressive V8 response makes it easy to carry spread through the flowing corners. you nailed the brief!

Proper privilege to spend some time with Dakar legend this week. 👊

4 stage wins out of 12 at the toughest race on the planet and bringing the T1 home P3 overall for the second year running… serious achievement from him and the whole team. 🏁

With suspension still being firmly on my mind, wheels and tyres will have to follow.

What use is a good suspension set up if you’re driving around on concrete blocks?!

I am wanting a square set up 18x10j with a 275/35/18 tyre, Nankang AR1 is my semi slick of choice.

What tried and tested wheel set ups do you all run?

The stock M car suspension is doing its best but it’s clear a true coilover set up is the next step. Time to dial in that chassis and get consistent cornering feel.

Any recommendations for BMW M4 coilover set ups? Let me know!
