WOW WOW WOW!! 🤩🤩 Thank you to everyone who voted for us, out of 3,726 votes, 350 of those were all for NGD, which is just AMAZING, especially since there were so many other INCREDIBLE groups on this poll, if you have the time definitely go over to this poll and check out the other groups and charities on their, I’m sure they would appreciate the support!! 😍😍 Blaze Competitions are running a competition to help raise funds for the dance school, 10p each tickets to be in with a chance of winning £100, there really isn’t a better way to help the school, you purchase tickets with a chance of winning, and we get support from any profits made to continue doing all we do for the school!! 👏👏
For the past 7 years we have committed to doing all we can for the young people in our local community and what we have achieved and done for people speaks for itself!! 🙌🙌 Check out below to see just SOME of what we have done during our time open!! 👇👇
✨ Discounted classes week in week out, compared to the going rate of dance classes in the Lincolnshire area we are already under the average price and that’s without our discounts! Our students receive all lessons after their first two full price ones (with the exception of acro and aerial silks and hoop), in a week half price! Just looking at the student in the school who does the most classes, their family saves £24 a week, and that’s just one family! Currently throughout our school £744 is saved a week JUST from our discount scheme! We then have 3 students on permanent scholarships, meaning they’ll never pay a penny towards lessons whilst being with us, we have 1 student on a scholarship till the end of the year as apart of their top award achievement, and we have 7 students that are additional support schemes, meaning they get even further discounts to what we currently offer!
✨ We have purchased SO MUCH equipment, including our AcroPad airtrack costing just over £3000, and our Aerial Silks and Hoop Rigs that combined with attachments cost us £1350! We then have additional mats, barrels, and other items to assist with classes that were all purchased by us!
✨ We pay for ALL show costumes and team group costumes, in the past 7 years we have spent over £10,000! We are at a point where we do try to reuse as many of these as possible, but with an ever growing school and a demand for more, sometimes it can’t be helped needing new ones, especially with general wear and tear to costumes too, us purchasing the costumes saves our parents/guardians £100s each and every year!
✨ We have held guest workshops for free which typically cost between £100-500 per workshop!
✨ We hold our annual awards ceremony ever December which out of 7 of these, 4 of them have cost us over £2000 in trophies, prizes and certificates, one of these prizes includes a £50 bursary for our overall competitor of the year!
We then are constantly always doing little extras such as discounted rehearsal fees to keep costs down, prize giveaways, class prizes, and lots more!! 🔥🔥
Our most recent BIG investment has been the renovation of our new studio, in sprung flooring costs alone this cost just over £13,000!! 😳😳 A lot of new equipment was purchased when moving into the studio, and with legal fees, other flooring, furniture, paint, stairs being put in to create storage space up on top of the office, a wall being put into the office to divide the space, lights, accessories and everything else, the project cost just under £20,000!! 🤯🤯 My students are very aware of all what’s been done and they have shown so much appreciation of the space, because it’s theirs and a place they can truly be themselves, but it’s something I’ve never publicly spoke about, mainly because it’s something I’ve chose to do, not my students, not the parents/guardians, it was all me, so it’s a project I’ve been paying off and funding myself, and almost a year on that amount is down to £12,000!! 💪💪 I’ve been working myself as hard as I can, coming in on days off to do private lessons and extras to get things paid off, sacrificing a wage for almost a year to be able to get this all paid back, and depending on my support system to help me with finances at home, so it’s definitely been a lot!! 😅😅 BUT, would I do it again, OF COURSE!! 🫶🫶 Because my students mean the world to me, and seeing them happy, makes me happy, and I think they all know that no matter how tough I am on them in lessons and how much I push them to reach their potential, that I’m always there to support them and will do everything I can for them!! 🤍🤍
NGD is a huge part of my life, I’ve spent my life dancing and to have been able to turn something I love into my career is something I’ll forever be grateful for, so dedicating so much of my life to the school, and investing as much as I do into it isn’t a problem for me, because when I see the dancers thriving I look at them with pride knowing that NGD and all we did helped them thrive and support their journey, and that feeling of helping others will never tire!! 🥰🥰
I do have even more goals for NGD, because if you know me I never stop, my head is always thinking at a million miles a minute!! 😂😂 And with this amazing help from Blaze Competitions, and our annual fundraiser that will be fast approaching, I really hope that people can see all we’ve done, and give the school a bit of extra love and support to help us get closer to achieving new goals!! 🌟🌟 Every ounce of support shown to the school truly goes a long way, I don’t think people will ever truly know how much I and my students appreciate it!! 🤍🤍 So if you can show some love and support to NGD it would be eternally appreciated, because I have my next goal(s) in mind and any support towards achieving these would be insane!! 🫶🫶
If anyone would like to get involved with helping the school any support would be massively appreciated, I am currently on working on putting a team of volunteers together to help support the fundraising of the school, because I have lots of ideas to do more including giving out more scholarships to families in the local area who would never be able to afford to put their children into dance, so if you’d like to be involved in this project make sure to drop me a message!! 👏👏
