Village events - traffic marshalling

Would you like to assist with traffic marshalling for the following events?

Remembrance Parade - Sunday 8 November 1100 – 1330hrs
Christmas light switch on – Saturday 28 November 1700 – 1900hrs
Christmas fun day – Saturday 5 December 1600 – 1800hrs

We need more volunteers to assist with the road closures for the above events.

If you hold a NRSWA Unit O1 or S1 licence we would especially like to hear from you.

Lyndhurst FC was formed in 1885 and is one of the oldest clubs in the Country. Building of a new clubhouse will facilitate further growth of the club including the introduction of ladies teams.

After a fantastic inaugral event in 2026, this year we expect to attract up to 500 runners to the 5k and 10k routes on gravel tracks in Pondhead Inclosure.

The event includes chip timing, finishers treats and bespoke medals and trophies. The Race HQ will be at the Crown Stirrup Pub offering post race bacon rolls and hot drinks and a set lunch menu for those wanting to stick around.

Entries are welcome from first timers through to club runners of all ages. Under 11s must be accompanied by an adult entrant at all times.

Racesignup is a UK based online entry system for running, swimming, triathlon, orienteering and other sports. Event organizers enjoy its ease of use and great value. Competitors can quickly and easily enter their chosen event.

Directions: From the M27 Junction 2, take the A36 north towards Salisbury. Continue for approximately 5 miles to Ower. At Ower Roundabout, take the A36/A3090 exit towards Romsey. After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto Romsey Road towards West Wellow. Continue through the village for around ½ mile. The entrance to Hatches Farm Sports Ground is on the left-hand side, adjacent to the tennis courts and close to Wellow Primary School. A dedicated car park is available on site.
