Match Report

The 2nd Team had a very tough battle after making the long journey to Witheridge on a Wednesday night. Despite the difficult conditions, the boys fought right until the final whistle and came away with a well-earned 4–4 draw. ⚽️💪

Man of the Match 🏆: Cam Blackmore — stepped up and went in goal after a few years out and put in a cracking shift! 🧤👏

Dick of the Day 🍆: Joe Cockman — somehow managed to think he’d actually won Man of the Match when asked for his vote! 😂😂

A proper team effort from the boys. Well fought! 💪🟡⚫

The 2nd team this week travel to Witheridge to take on a challenging team. Hopefully we can come away with the result.
No training this week for the 2nd due to the fixture being Wednesday evening. 💛

Full-time: Forton Rangers 1-3 Lympstone 2nds 💙💛

Lympstone 2nds made the trip to Forton today for our second pre-season friendly, and it was a strong performance from the lads.

Two early goals inside the opening 20 minutes put us firmly in control before Elliot added a third around the 55-minute mark. Forton Rangers battled hard throughout and were rewarded with a goal shortly after the final hydration break, but the boys stayed disciplined to see out a well-deserved 3-1 victory.

A hard-fought performance from our 2nd Team yesterday, but we came away on the wrong side of a 2-1 defeat to Topsham Town 3rds.

Plenty of positives to take from the game, and the lads are already looking ahead to next weekend as we travel to take on Forton Rangers at their place.

The boys are getting ready for their first pre-season fixtures this Saturday! 💙⚽

The First Team travel to face Teignmouth 2nds, while the Second Team are away to Topsham 3rds.

The hard work in training starts to pay off as both squads continue their preparations for the season ahead. Wishing both teams the best of luck—let’s get the pre-season off to a strong start! 💪🔵
