Special shout out to a young Thurmaston player by the name of Harrison, who recently lost his battle to cancer. Nice to see the lads have a minute round of applause before the game. We send our thoughts and prayers to Harrison’s family.

Very nice and fast start from our boys and a lovely goal to settle us in at 1-0.

A late first half goal sent us into half time at 1-1.

GNG came out the second half with a little more battle and managed to get another goal taking it to 2-1.

Our boys didn’t give up and kept on at them. Scoring two lovely worked goals to finish the game with a 3-2 win. And very well deserved.

MATCH DAY

LUTTERWORTH ATHLETIC U12 v Aylestone park

Today see us take on Aylestone park in the league at home.

A very tough and physical game which our lads really proving themselves today. 2 nice early goals for us calmed the nerves and another ruled out for offside. Away team managed to claw one back before half time.

Second half was a different battle with the opppsition receiving 3 yellow cards and one red which put the game into an uncomfortable position.

We held on for the 2-1 well deserved win.

Here is what manager Jack Hayes had to say.

“A well deserved 2-1 home win today for our U12 lads that fought to the end of a tough 60 minute match.
Early goals from Jack and Aiden eased the pressure and i thought we should of won the game by more goals in the 2nd half.
Proud of these lads for grabbing the three points”💚⚽️
