A brilliant training session was held this week with focus placed on speed work, quick movements and agility. Everyone put great effort in and there were some mighty close races on show!

After some passing and finishing drills, a fun game of rumble was had to finish the session off.

Trainer of the week was awarded to Clayton who as always put maximum effort in and was supportive to his teammates. Rounded off with some brilliant shooting, Clayton fully deserved the trophy. Well done ⚽️🔴⚫️

***Bears FC Tournament***

Louth U7 Reds took part in a highly competitive tournament held at Sibsey today.

The boys were quite simply superb. The teamwork, the passing, the goal scoring, defending and keeping were extraordinary.
We witnessed some brilliant solo goals, combined with excellent team goals and rock solid defending with expert goalkeeping and ball distribution evident.

After finishing 2nd in a group of 8, the boys qualified for the knock out stages with a tough tie against Boston United in the semi final on the agenda. The match was played in excellent spirit, both sides giving it their all with Louth coming away with a solid 2-0 victory.

Having reached their second tournament final in a matter of weeks, the boys knew how tough the match would be against a powerful and group stage leaders Discoveries team.

Louth excelled in the final, dominating throughout. The hard work and desire to put in a top performance was clear. Victory was only on the boys minds and they fully deserved the plaudits that followed after a convincing 2-0 victory.

A big thank you to Bears FC for hosting the tournament on the hottest day of the year so far! Smiles, laughter and a brilliant time was had by all.

Thank you as always to our home and away kit sponsors MKM and HC services Ltd

Louth U7 Reds took part in the U7 tournament held at Horncastle today and what a brilliant day it was.

With the sun shining bright, Louth knew they’d be in for some tough matches in the heat, but the boys battled superbly throughout, cheering each other on and showing great teamwork when out on the pitch.

Tournament football brings with it the chance to play against teams across Lincolnshire that we don’t usually meet and it was clear to see that the talent across a multitude of teams was extremely high.

During the league phase, Louth shone bright, playing some lovely football, scoring many great goals and superb goalkeeping. Overall putting in some great performances, including victory over table toppers Grantham.

The boys deservedly qualified for the semi finals and found themselves up against a strong and skilful Wragby All Stars team. The match was an even contest and Louth came through with victory via a penalty shoot out.

The final against Grantham was set up to be a high quality spectacle. Two well organised, strong and determined teams, keen to impress and show those watching the talent they have. Louth shaded the final ever so slightly however as the referee blew for full time, the match was deadlocked at 0-0 leading to another penalty shoot out.

Grantham succeeded during the shoot out and our congratulations go out to them. Louth can hold their heads high knowing they gave their all.

A huge thank you to all parents, grandparents, friends and family members who came to support the boys on what was a great day out.

Further thanks to MKM and HC Services for sponsoring the boys kit.

Well done boys ⚽️⚽️🔴⚫️⚽️⚽️

Another great session was had by all this evening.
It was extremely chilly at Wood Lane which led to various sprinting / running drills to keep everyone as warm as possible.

Focus was placed on passing to teammates and controlling the ball before picking the next pass. This led to the teams favourite part of the session, rumble, where some great contests were had followed by a brilliant match to finish.

Trainer of the week was awarded to Nathan who has recently started training with us. Nathan worked hard on his positional play in the match and was keen to learn and adapt as the session progressed. Well done Nathan 🔴⚫️⚽️⚽️

After a couple of weeks break from training, the U7 Reds were back on the grass and it was great to see how much effort everyone put into the session.

The session focused on dribbling with the ball to improve our control and different shooting drills, testing the keepers from different angles.

The rumble drill provided some great contests which led nicely into an evenly contested match. Trainer of the week was awarded to Luca who put in his best training session to date. Luca listened throughout and showed his skills and brilliant effort from start to finish. Well done Luca!

Great session everyone ⚽️⚽️🔴⚫️

**Metheringham FC U7 v Louth FC U7 Reds**

The boys travelled to Metheringham for the last scheduled league match of the season, and what a performance was put in by everyone.

Louth looked to create chances from the first whistle, attacking with intensity and precision. Some quick feet and great team work led to a flurry of goals, Noah slotting home coolly on a handful of occasions.

The boys tackled well all over the pitch, Clayton battling hard in midfield yet again and Blake picking up any loose balls in defence. It was brilliant to see everyone looking to pick out team mates in space, Ralph and Luca showing determination to push the team upfield and cause problems for the Metheringham defensive line. This led to Ralph finding the back of the net for a well deserved goal.

Ozzy made some fine saves and was determined to keep a clean sheet. With the match progressing Oscar finished the game up front, also finding the back of the net with some lovely finishes.

Another superb performance from Louth Reds and another match where each player contributed well and played their part.
