These images are from a Y7 activity day we ran with 6 different activities for everybody to try. The students had been on offsite visits during the week but we heard from pupils that the day they spent at school doing activities with us was their favourite. Nice!

Another very regular event is at Hampton Hargate primary in Peterborough. Each year we provide activities to the 600+ pupils in the school. Climbing, Boccia, laser tag, aeroball and archery are just some of what we provide. Each year as they move up through the school the activities they do change.

A little behind on posting what we’ve been up to but for many years now we’ve worked with a Greenwich primary school on their in school residential.

70 pupils from the school joined us for evening activities on a Friday followed by a full day of activities on the Saturday.

It’s always a bit of a task getting to this school because of various weight and width restrictions and for this year traffic too! The only route we can use is a residential street with parked cars (buses use it) and we did cause a bit of a gridlock trying to turn onto the road the school is located. because people couldn’t see the trailer they weren’t giving us the space we needed. Thankfully a parent stopped traffic and then we saw the blue lights. Luckily the police were coming to help not tell us off!

Unfortunately for the kids that was the only police visit. Over the past couple of years they’ve been called to a reported break in at the school overnight only to find kids in sleeping bags! It’s become a bit of a feature but the school let the police know this time around.

Two teams out today. We started together in North London where we’re running activities today for the whole school. After set up Lauren and John headed back to the services. We’re hanging out until heading over to greenwich for an evening of activities for a school there. While waiting a Jelly Belly truck pulled up, waved us over and handed us some beans! We got a bean plant last week and jelly beans today. Reckon we’ll get a golden egg or giant bean stalk next week…

Just as a reminder: we’ll always do our best to accommodate folk with medical needs, learning disabilities and/physical disabilities on our activities even at queue and do events. Please have a quiet word with one of our instructors and we’ll do our best to help. We don’t always have the right resources to get every single person climbing at mainstream public events (specialist equipment and instructors) but we usually have the basics and we attend some events that have booked our adaptive wall:

This week we’ve been at schools and community events in London and Norfolk with archery, laser tag and climbing.

We’ve had some of the strangest lost property ever left behind 🌱 🫛 so now we have a company runner bean which is currently chilling in a coffee cup until we get back to base tonight.
