Most mentors sell you a firework. “Work with me and you’ll blow up, overnight, watch.” It’s a great story. It’s just not how it works, and deep down you already know that.

Here’s the boring truth, and it’s the only thing that’s ever actually built a business:

You need someone keeping you accountable, because you won’t do it on your own. Nobody does.

You need a step-by-step system that works if you actually run it.

You need to keep showing up when it’s slow, because consistency is the whole game.

And you need someone there for your specific questions. Not a script. Your actual situation.

That’s it. That’s the entire job. No magic, no blowing up. Just the stuff that works, done for long enough to matter.

That’s exactly what I’m opening Friday. The opposite of the firework.

Funny thing happened when I went from the gym floor to online.

The job didn’t change.

I still watch how someone moves. I still tell them when their effort’s been s**t that week. I still chase the one who’s gone quiet and celebrate the one who hit a PB. Same coaching. Same eyes. Same standards.

The only thing that changed was the screen between us.

That’s the bit that stops a lot of good in-person coaches dead. They think online is some whole new skill they haven’t earned yet. It isn’t. If you can get someone a result standing next to them, you can get them a result through a phone. The delivery changes. The coaching doesn’t.

You already have the hard part. You’ve been doing it for years. What you’re missing isn’t talent, it’s the system to package it so it travels.

Ten days. Give or take.

Sarah’s almost there, and our world’s about to get turned upside down again in the best way.

I’m not going to dress this up into a business lesson. But I’ll be honest about why I work the way I do.

Everything I’m building, the systems, the online side, the stuff I talk about all day on here, it’s so that when this little one arrives I can actually be there. Not stuck on a gym floor from 0600 till 2000 trading every hour for money and missing the bit that counts.

That’s the real reason I went online. Not laptops on beaches. Just being able to be present for the people who matter, without the business falling over the second I step away.

Can’t wait to meet you, baby girl!

Nobody’s coming to save your business.

Everyone expects me to have some life-changing quote from him. I haven’t got one. But standing next to someone who’s been at the very top for 50 years did hammer home something I bang on about all the time.

The people right at the top aren’t doing secret stuff. They got there by doing the obvious things, on repeat, long after everyone else got bored and went chasing the next hack. Decades of basics done properly.

Your coaching business is no different. You already know what works. Show up. Talk to your people. Get results. Follow up. The question was never whether you know it. It’s whether you’ll keep doing it when it stops feeling exciting.

That’s the whole game. The ones who win are just the ones who didn’t stop.

A client cancels 10 minutes before. You swallow the cost, rebook around them, quietly resent it.

Do that enough and two things happen. You lose money, and they learn your time doesn’t really cost anything. So they keep doing it.

Bring in a 48-hour cancellation policy. Not to be a hard case. Because the clients worth keeping respect you more for it.

Boundaries aren’t the opposite of caring about your clients. They’re proof you take the work seriously. People value what they’re not allowed to waste.
