Kendal Mint Co 🤝 Jameson Coaching 🤝 Fraser Minnican 🏆

Earlier this year we teamed up with an old friend Fraser Minnican, a seasoned international swimmer making waves in the Iroman Triathlon world.

We witnessed Fraser smash course records such as the The Lakesman half and bag numerous podiums. As a fellow Cumbrian athlete, this one was a no brainer.

We're now partnered with both Fraser and his fantastic coach Joel Jameson for the next season. Stay tuned for more!

Mr Neil Eddy becomes ITU world AG champion...

So although I still think we can improve Neil's swim it was never my intention to start altering he solid technique and his resilience in the water. Neil's biggest strength in his swim is a strong rhythm and an ability to swim well in every type of condition.

My job and aim (they go hand in hand) was to bring his bike and run up to the standard of his swim to make him a great all round athlete with no major weakness.

Neil worked hard on his run for a number of years and something clicked in 2017 where he ran 2:34 marathon.

He then put that new speed to use in Lanzarote IM where he ran 2:52 off the bike... a pure world class run split. So his run was up to his swim standard...

2019... time to make the bike a weapon...
The cornish roads do make you strong but they also have their limiting factors. To race fast you need to learn how to ride fast... if all the roads are hilly then you can do that. Neil suffered quite a bit on the turbo to replicate flat and when on the mallorca training camp it really showed the work had sunk in. He did a session where he climbed 3 major climbs at varying intensities from 88% - 95%... but then at the end of the 5hr ride he had a 20min 2degree downhill fast session where I wanted him to ride as fast as he could... as much speed as possible. He absolutely flew along and that is when I knew the man is ready to race!

The 10 days before the ITU World's Neil thought he had gallstones which wasn't in the plan... but he managed it well and got to the race knowing he was rested at least. Not ideal so we knew there was a chance he would feel lethargic, rusty and heavy legged but he was mentally ready for that.

Then the result was testament to Neil... He performed on the day and executed the race he need to to claim overall AG World Champ...

Super happy for him!!!

Bravo..

PB time for Mr Neil Eddy at the Bath Half marathon...

As you get closer and closer to your full potential its harder and harder to make those gains... This is why is awesome to see Neil breaking his barriers and quite early in the season so good signs....
