What some people feel for Jackson is just pity. Not many people supported him at Chelsea, yet they feel bad that he left or how he left.

I like him a lot and was very sure he would become a top player. I remember saying that if Chelsea put him up for sale, big clubs would circle. I wasn't wrong.

But we can't ignore the fact that Chelsea trusted, supported, and developed him for two good seasons even though he wasn't Chelsea's standard yet. He had an opportunity to stay and fight back but chose to leave, which is understandable because he's the third choice. That's the nature of the game. I wish him well, but it's not Chelsea's fault. He chose the best path for himself.

Chelsea decided to upgrade, and Jackson decided to go elsewhere instead of competing as a backup. Both are right to do what's best for them. That's how I see it. But Jackson called the shots. He would've stayed if he wanted to.
