In the past 7 years Thales and I travelled to more than 25 countries together. 🌍✈️ A few months ago, while we were hiking on a hill in Vietnam we started to chat about all the things we've learned about travelling as a couple. The nice parts but also the challenging aspects, like always having to discuss, plan or compromise of some sort.

So together we put some tips that we believe would be useful for other couples out there, no matter if you've travelled a lot or just started to explore the world together! 😍

we are not perfect, there will be moments when we will hurt our partners, friends or relatives. acknowledging we've hurt someone is already a great step forward, because it requires you to be honest with yourself and letting go of your ego. however, most of the time this is not enough.

Saying "I'm sorry" can mean a lot, but to reconnect again with the other person positive actions can make a huge difference!

What's your opinion on this? Curious about your experience on the matter.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY meu amor!! 6 years passed so fast!

7 years ago our worlds crossed path in a little country called Costa Rica and since then we’ve been together, through good and not that good! But we both grew a lot during this time and luckily our love and relationship grew and evolved with us. 🫶

34 months long distance, 25 countries visited, 3 flats we’ve lived together, endless kisses and infinite laughs. thanks for being my home! 🏠

January - the month where I wished seconds were minutes and hours were days.

I could say that not much has happened in January yet so many things happened. I’ve been focused much more inwards lately, as I feel I’ve lost a bit touch with my soul in the past years. This month for the first time in a long time I’ve tried to focus only on those things that bring me peace rather than a feel of accomplishment.

Being home, watching the sunset, cooking, exploring the world through the eyes of someone you love, seeing and breathing beauty, the forest, the sea, resting. Gosh I’m blessed.

I feel change is coming, and I embrace it, whatever that means. 🙏🏾❤️ how was your January?

I can't say I've always been an advocate for mental health because I became aware of its importance only 10 years ago. I had to feel the repercussions of my poor mental health to understand its real impact on my whole body and life. 🧠

In the past few years, I've learned a lot about myself, but I've also trained to know how to help others become more self-aware and at peace with themselves.

Now I'm joining Time to Talk Coachathon, where we are raising money for Mind, a charity focused on providing mental health support, so that they can reach more people than ever.🫂

We thrive when we have meaningful relationships with those around us. And this is not limited to having a partner! Relationships with friends and others are essential for our overall wellbeing, especially because a partner cannot provide all we need anyway! Feeling accepted and loved for who we are can help us feel safe to be our true self.

Sometimes, though, we hang on relationships that no longer serve us. Often without even realising.

Other times, we don’t put the effort needed to make some good relationships thrive - to keep in touch or to be fully present.

I’d like to challenge you to reflect on the relationships you have, the dynamics you entertain and if there is anything you need to acknowledge more or want to change. 🫶🏼

2023. i thought i had to ride the waves but i’ve learned that going with the flow may be just more enjoyable.

for 2024 I don’t wish many things, i stopped around 2-3 years ago to set any goals. Of course, there are things that I want to achieve, but I am done attaching myself to end results in my life. it does bring us a certain level of comfort and satisfaction, at the expense of our integrity longer term.

who are you without your goals? who are you beyond your job title, goals achieved or countries visited?

the change of the year is a good opportunity to self-reflect - practice which unfortunately i’ve let aside for a while. reflect on how am I evolving and if I like the person I am becoming.

I had a period in my life when I felt very successful yet my body was tired. I loved being “on top of my game” but I hated feeling tired, having problems sleeping and overthinking all the time. It’s a paradox I believe many of us live in.

So that question became my compass - now it drives my choices on where I want to improve or what do I want to keep doing. Do I like the person that I am becoming?

At the end, the most meaningful relationship we all have is the one with ourselves. 🫶🏼

Made our own lanterns in Hoi an. Enjoyed the peacefulness of Ha Long Bay. Ate kilos of dragon fruit. Immersed into the culture. Learned to bargain. Made memories for a lifetime. ❤️
