Bird Therapy by Joe Harkness is a fantastic read for anyone curious about how nature, and birds in particular, can support mental health.
It’s not just a book about birdwatching — it’s about noticing, slowing down, and finding calm in the small, everyday moments of the natural world. For the author, watching birds became a powerful tool for recovery and resilience during a mental health crisis.
If you’ve ever felt better after hearing birdsong or taking a walk in green space, this will really resonate. A gentle, honest reminder that connection with nature isn’t a luxury — it’s essential.
Highly recommend.

🌿 London nature lovers – what’s your favourite walk? 🌿

We’re always on the lookout for great places in London to spot wildlife, switch off, and reconnect with nature — whether it’s a hidden woodland trail, a peaceful canal path, or a wide-open park with birdsong in the background.

Where do you go when you need a bit of calm, green, and quiet?
Drop your favourite nature walk in the comments — bonus points if there are good trees, birds, or a café nearby 👇

Let’s build a list of local gems 🍃

Ever gone for a walk, heard birdsong, felt a bit better—and not really known why?
Turns out, that was mindfulness. You just didn’t call it that.

Nature has a way of pulling us into the present without trying too hard. The sounds, the movement, the little things you start to notice—it’s all a reminder to slow down and actually be where you are.

We’re doing a relaxed nature walk this Saturday through Walthamstow Wetlands . No pressure, no special gear. Just a chance to walk, notice things, chat with good people, and feel a bit more grounded.
