🏁 Gosport BMX Club Gosport BMX National 2026 - this weekend!
Rounds 5 & 6 of the Lloyds National BMX Race Series are coming to Gosport BMX Club on Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 June, with Friday practice from 4pm.
The track at Alver Valley Country Park is one of the best in the south - steep start hill, long flowing corners, a technical rhythm section and a long finishing straight. Expect fast racing and plenty of late moves.

Sarrians delivered four fresh winners and one of the wildest elite men’s finals of the season 🔥 Diego Arboleda Ospina finally banked his first World Cup win after four years of chasing it 🏆, Saya Sakakibara struck back with the fastest lap of the day ⚡, Renske Van Santvoort claimed her maiden victory 🥇, and Clement Rocherieux led an all-French podium in the men’s under 23 final 🇫🇷
For Great Britain 🇬🇧, Matthew Gilston was the story of the day, racing to fifth in his first ever elite men’s World Cup final less than 24 hours after exiting in the last chance qualifier 👏 Freia Challis and Elsa Rendall Todd backed it up with another one-two in the women’s under 23 final 🥈🥉, and Bethany Shriever pushed through to eighth in the elite final 💪

The gates are about to drop, and the new season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive yet.

The Burm and MK BMX Racing Club CIO are calling on every rider, every parent, every coach, every cyclist and fan in the UK to sign a petition that could change the future of grassroots cycling.

We’re asking the government to invest £30m in community cycling facilities. BMX Tracks. Downhill. Road Cycling. Pump tracks. Safe places for kids to ride, families to come together, and future champions to get their start.

Right now, facilities across the country are disappearing faster than they’re being built. Volunteer-run clubs are stretched to breaking point. Councils don’t have the money. And without dedicated government investment, the gaps will only get wider.

The evidence says this works. The Places to Ride programme delivered £6.50 back for every £1 spent. Over £13m in estimated NHS savings. More than 150 facilities supported. The model is proven - it just needs backing.

The Tour de France is coming to the UK in 2027. Let’s make sure there are facilities ready to catch the wave of inspiration it brings.
