✨ A little update from PATH ✨

Many of you know me through my work supporting parents, teenagers, and children over the years.

What you may not know is that PATH has grown to support a much wider range of people and challenges.

Alongside working with children, young people, and families, I now also support adults, schools, and professionals through therapy, coaching, and neurodiversity support.

Some of the reasons people come to PATH include:

😴 “Just go to bed!” If only it were that simple, right?

Here’s the deal: Your teen wants to sleep—but two big things are working against them:

1️⃣ Their body clock is on night mode. Teens are wired to stay up late and sleep in. It’s not rebellion—it’s science.
2️⃣ Their brain is in overdrive. Growing brains need loads of sleep—almost as much as toddlers (seriously!).

💡 So how can you help?
✨ Stop the bedtime battles—work with their rhythm.
✨ Shift bedtime gradually—15 minutes earlier each night can make a difference.
✨ Set a screen curfew—no screens an hour before bed. Swap scrolling for a book or podcast.
✨ Get morning sunlight—a short walk or breakfast by the window resets their body clock.
✨ Prioritise comfort—a cool, dark room they actually like being in helps.
✨ Talk stress early in the evening—less buzzing brain at bedtime.
✨ Try wind-down rituals—breathing exercises, gentle stretching, or meditation apps.
✨ Keep weekends in check—lie-ins feel great but mess with rhythms. Aim for wake-ups within an hour of weekdays.
