OUR HISTORY
Fulham Irish GAA was founded in January 2006 by a group of young Irish people who were looking to serve the needs of the increasing professional Irish population in central London. The club aims to provide an opportunity to play Gaelic Football and Hurling in London without travelling to the far West or North of London. The first year saw the Club operate in the Intermediate football grade, winning the London & Provincial Championship of Britain before ending the season with an All-Ireland Junior Club quarter final defeat to Killala of Mayo. The Senior football team has operated at Senior level since 2007, winning 4 Senior titles, 2011, 2017, 2020 & 2023. To satisfy demand, a Reserve football team was added in 2007. This team allows players with less time to be given the opportunity to play games and be competitive in games. The club has gone from strength to strength following an initial focus on Gaelic Football; we have fielded a hurling team since 2011. In 2023 we officially launched an GAA underage section to the club. The Youth section is driven entirely by previous and current players with over 100 kids registered to play every Sunday morning and take part in the various blitz activities organized by London. This initiative will continue to grow over the next 7 years to give Fulham Irish GAA full coverage across every underage group in London.
