Front garden on Nelson Rd, Crouch End N8. Planting done June last year and features bespoke galvanised steel planters filled with shade loving plants.

Another project from last year, this one is on Rathcoole Ave, Crouch End N8.
A small back terrace was created by removing soil and building a curved retaining wall and steps from brick. Western red cedar boards were used for the fence material and sandstone plank paving for the terrace area.
The low maintenance and evergreen planting consists of a mature olive tree, cordyline palms, star jasmine climbers, small grasses and hebes.

Recent garden makeover in Winchmore Hill N21.
The old garden was stripped out and the site levelled.
New features include raised brick planters and borders, large porcelain ceramic tiles on terrace and paths, an outdoor kitchen and grill, new shed, garden lighting and irrigation systems, a large lawn and mediterranean style planting.

Recent hanging garden project, consisting of a steel and copper bottom planting box suspended by chains from a concrete ceiling in a kitchen/living room.

Tropical plants hang down and an irrigation system keeps them watered.

Excited to get this book from James Hobbs, I can see this novel book idea being an inspirational tool to aid improving your garden spaces. On each page James uses simple black lines to indicate buildings, plants, pots and furniture as part of a garden scenario and encourages the reader to complete the rest of the garden scene as they would imagine it. The book has a nice feel, being printed on good quality drawing paper, it has a clear layout and is easy to understand. I'm recommending this book to my clients as a fun way to put down your garden ideas and as a great conversation starter to get the ball rolling. Hopefully I'll gain valuable insights into your specific garden wants and desires in the process.
I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone thinking about improving their plot.
Out in America, it comes out 2 July in UK.
