In the last decade, prescribed antidepressants have nearly doubled. GPs are now being urged to offer alternative methods for milder symptoms before reaching for their prescription pads.

So often our mental health deteriorates because we get caught in a cycle of negative thoughts and beliefs. If unchecked, the balance becomes askewed and it becomes much harder to break this cycle which leads to a change in your neurochemistry.

In some cases, there's already a chemical imbalance that causes the depression or other mental health condition, in which case, prescriptions are a sensible, and even necessary, option.

But for MANY people, the imbalance comes from a reaction to our circumstances, a mismanagement of emotions, a detachment between body and mind, and a debilitating thought pattern. Creating a break in the cycle through self-reflection is often a better approach because 1. There's no side effects from taking chemicals. 2. You minimise recurrence by learning effective coping mechanisms and how to avoid the destructive thought cycle. 3. You minimise reliance on external solutions, including stronger drugs.

If you can relate and feel yourself becoming imbalanced, and don't want to reach a stage where you're being offered pills to make you feel better, message me and let's get you on the right track.

Think about it for moment. You didn't press the "wrong" button, you just pressed a button that took you further away from your goal. The button isn't wrong, as much as a button can't be right. It just is. You can say/do something inappropriate for a moment, or illegal, or fearless....but "right" and "wrong" are subjective judgements.

We can open our minds, our possibilities, our limiting beliefs if we think of life as a series of choices and consequences, leaving the judgement aside. Moment to moment, you can choose something that takes you towards your goal or away from it, and experience the subsequent consequences....pleasurable or painful.

Want to feel happier and healthier? Be kinder.

If you're kind to others and make yourself a non-priority...you're not being kind to yourself.

If you're kind to yourself and treat others poorly....you're not being kind to others.

Kindness is about being kind to EVERYONE: the people you like, the people you don't like and you!

Kindness isn't being a door mat or giving away all your time and energy. But if you can show acceptance, compassion and respect for ALL, everyone wins; because kindness makes the receiver feel special but also has incredible benefits for the giver - (this isn't just about the warm and fuzzies...there is science behind this - reviewed in my article "Is kindness really good for you?")

So, be kind, not just today, everyday and see how much better your life experience becomes.

We all spend a lot of time defining things and putting things in boxes. Its an important tool for making sense of the world. But (even just for today) do a little experiment....try not to define everything you come across, don't pass any kind of judgement. Nothing's good, nothing's bad, nothing's hard or easy, better or worse...everything just is. Give it a go and see if you can do it.

Lockdown meant that people weren't getting close to other people, or at least not as many as they would have pre-covid. And now with regulations lifted, most people have upped their contact with/proximity to other people.

In recent sessions I've been noticing that simply clearing someone's biofield/aura can make a big change in the clarity of their chakras. Whilst that's always been possible, it has become much more common.

I believe that the "isolation" has allowed us to be more sensitive to other people's energies. That's not always a bad thing, but it isn't always a good thing either. Other people's energies can mask and/or alter your own energy systems, in essence you pick up other people's psycho-energo "baggage".

With sound therapy, you can have this cleared within minutes meaning that you can focus on yourself and not waste resources in healing what you pick up from others.

It's important to protect your energies, but before you do that, it's a good idea to clear what's already there.

If you're feeling more tired than usual, not feeling like yourself, experiencing aches or pains that you don't normally have, feeling "foggy" or in a haze and/or more panicked/anxious than usual, then you may benefit hugely from a sound clearing. If so, get in touch with me for a session.
