'Sargent and co', vintage bike shop is being offered for sale.
Established in 2008.
I have now lost the london shop, and I am relocating stock In Kent, near Faversham.( see photos)
I have enjoyed almost every minute of the last 17 years, but losing the shop and other interests coming to fruition means it is time to pass it on.
Stock valuation approx £ 25 k, the shop is sold with the name and heritage.
Buying a Thames sailing barge in 2012 that was in need of restoration seriuosly affected the attention I could give the shop, but it seemed to soldier on regardless,although opening days/times were sporadic asI then started working as a scenic in the film industry to boost income and give me more time to work on the barge.
The website is now defunct, and the instagram page is more of a rambling personal diary, but there still remains a quite wonderfull wordpress site curated by the wonderfull Georgie Wood, who now works for Brompton cycles, additional material by Yasi Richards who now works for Rapha.
Photographs show the old Finsbury park shop and the new unit in Kent where I am moving stock to.
