So my final clip at Sumalee Gym show me having a light move around with one of the gyms active fighter this was the last part of training and I had to push myself just to keep awake it had been an extremely tiring 24 hours and I recall after this i went back to my room showerd had quick bite and went to sleep what a great day

The Wai the prayer palm position that is used in Thai culture as well as other Asian nations is a greeting and sign of respect in fact it has a deep philosophy that is a chat for perhaps another time the reason I am mentioning it is because it is also extremely useful for many self defence application's as you can see in this short clip the Wai features greatly in the Wai Kru dance often seen in a short version before the start of Muay Thai ring fight it is a signature of your style and to honor your teacher elders and King this clip is merely a snippet of very detailed combat application enjoy

During a 2015 Muay Thai training and research trip in Thailand one of the gyms i trained at was Sumalee Muay Thai Boxing gym on Phuket Island while smaller than some of the other gym I had visited it was well equipped and with great instructors i had a great time
