Here are 5 reasons why you struggle hitting your calories when you’re in a fat loss phase

1. You’re not eating enough protein
Aim for 20-30g of protein each meal

2. You’re incorporating too many processed foods into your calories
Eat smarter, not less

3. You’re not consuming enough high volume food
Bulking out meals with vegetables and opting for potatoes instead of pasta will keep you full for longer.

4. Eating ‘low calorie foods’
I could eat about 5 ‘100 calorie’ fibre one bars in one go and still be starving. Opt for real food for snacks

5. Not eating frequently enough or skipping meals altogether
If you want to be able to stick to your fat loss goals, eat regularly and don’t skip meals. This will lead to the binge restrict cycle.

Easy BBQ swaps you can make to easily save 450 calories…

You can still enjoy BBQ’s, social events and still make progress…

The quicker you view this journey as a lifestyle the easier it will become…

First option:
Cheese burger
2 sausages
Can of Pimms
1,045 cals

2nd option
2 chicken skewers
Corn on the cob
Salad with halloumi
Diet Gin n tonic
600 cals

You can always calorie bank during the week for your social event on the weekend to save on cals..

I wouldn’t recommend banking more than 200 cals a day as this lead to yo yo dieting!

5 fitness tips I wish I knew in my late teens/ early twenties 👏

1. Choose a sport or activity you actually enjoy and stick with it! Whether you love hybrid training, strength training, running or pilates. Find the movement style that works for you and your body

2. Recovery is key! I know you are desperate to get to your goal but overexercising and not taking appropriate rest will delay your results - especially if you want to gain muscle.

3. Stop overcomplicating nutrition! It’s calories in vs calories out. Try and adopt a whole foods diet but you can still go out socialise, and eat the foods you love on a daily basis.

4. Have a plan! Structure your workouts properly and with intention and you can be in and out within 45 minutes. You don’t need to spend hours in the gym to achieve great results.

5. Be PATIENT! You will not achieve your results in 8 weeks. Building a body of your dreams will take consistent dedication over YEARS not months! So enjoy the process and make it sustainable 💪🏻
