Big upgrade day today! Full groupset swap, bringing this older mechanical bike into the future

This older Planet X road bike came in with a tired, barely working Sram Rival 22 mechanical groupset, which had seen a lot of miles and was literally being held together with elastic bands. The owner decided to treat themselves to a brand new electronic wireless Shimano 105 12spd Di2 groupset, nice choice. 105 has always been an absolute workhorse, and the Di2 version is no exception. Amazing shifting, looks great, and barely gives up any functionality of groupsets nearly double the price.

The whole bike was stripped down, washed and ceramic coated to bring the paint back to life, as well as some fresh headset bearings and bar tape. Keen to give it something extra, the owner decided some NOS Dura-Ace disc rotors would be nice touch, and we agree.
