One of my favourite times of year - gathering flower seeds from the garden for sharing and scattering next year. 🌱

These are the 'corporate gifts' you will receive from me when I next see you - sowing seeds of growth for people and plants πŸ˜€

You will be encouraged to take some time for personal reflection and scatter your seeds in your garden, in abandoned spaces around your town, or indeed feel free to re-gift them. ✨

We had a very enjoyable walk this week in London and have decided to make it a monthly affair and, like our walks in Herts/Beds/Bucks, expand it to include not only executive coaches and supervisors but other people developers (eg. consultants, trainers, facilitators, HR and L&D folk, etc). So if you enjoy connecting with colleagues in a similar field, stimulating conversation and getting out in nature, please do join us.

The next walk will be from Green Park and we will meet at the kiosk/fountain area (as in the picture) just inside the Park from the Green tube station. We will be meeting at 10:30 on Wednesday 13 September and walk for about an hour, before ending up at a cafΓ© for a cuppa.

No agenda, no fee, just a warm welcome from a friendly bunch.

We look forward to having you join. ✨

Following an enjoyable walk with fellow coaches on Tuesday this week, we have decided to make it a regular monthly thing and also expand it to include not just executive coaches and supervisors, but also other people developers (eg, consultants, facilitators, trainers, HR and L&D folk, etc).

So if you are interested in connecting with colleagues in a similar field, reflective conversation and enjoy getting out in nature, do join us. We will be at College Lake near Tring again at 10:00 on Tuesday 12 September.

We will walk for about an hour and then have a cuppa at the cafΓ©. All welcome, no fixed agenda, no fee, just a voluntary donation to the Wildlife Trusts, if you wish.

Please share with your friends and colleagues ✨

Coach supervision today in the wonderful grounds of Henley Business School, by the Thames. My supervisee was looking for some reflection time next to the river. Having the type of environment that you need to support you during a session can make all the difference. 😍

I was super impressed with Henley's No Mow May fabulousness too! 😍

My daughter is passionate about permaculture & shared this diagram with me illustrating its principles (she aspires to achieve these with her planting & vegetable growing).

I really love how each of the elements are interconnected & individually serve a valuable purpose for the system. It struck me that it's beautifully transferable to a truly ethical & sustainable way to leading organisations. What are your thoughts?

One of the things I notice in my coaching practice is the extent to which people describe themselves in fixed ways (eg. introvert, conscientious, disorganised) or cling onto the character trait labels attributed to them by parents, teachers, bosses, colleagues (or diagnostic psychometrics, my personal bugbear!).

These default positions are entirely possible to shift if we apply regular, ongoing, deliberate and self-compassionate attention. Much of the work I do as a coach is supporting this process and it is such a privilege to join people on that journey.

"Whether you are wrestling with serious issues or simply want to polish off your rougher edges, it is reassuring to know that character is ultimately within your own hands. DNA and our upbringing may predispose us to certain traits, but we also have the power to shape our future selves."

Have a read and see what you think:

Think you’re stuck being scatty, or an introvert? The latest research suggests otherwise

For my new supervision group I wanted to send out something to capture the year's journey we will be taking together. A hand drawn picture seemed much more reflective of the personalised support I hope to offer.

Lucky for me my Virtual Assistant (my eldest daughter, Katie) is an artist, so I commissioned her to create it for me. Isn't it lovely? 🀩🐦

Happy Christmas to you all! Seems appropriate to post this just as the rains have begun to wash away the snow that has been sitting on the ground and on the branches all week. β„οΈπŸŽ„πŸ¦ŒπŸŽ…

I'm not doing Christmas cards for the first time this year. Just seemed like time to stop, seeing as I'm completely out of cards and want to avoid adding to the seasonal waste mountain.

Hope you have a lovely break over the holidays and emerge into 2023 refreshed and revived. Sending warm wishes and positive vibes to you all ✨✨✨✨

Some of the many reasons that I encourage my clients to get out in nature are the benefits described in this video. As a space for a coaching or supervision experience the value is even more abundant. πŸ’š

Had a lovely day at graduation on Friday πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“πŸ₯‚ celebrating with classmates and friends the completion of our post-graduate Certificate in Supervision for Coaching and Consultancy from The Tavistock Institute.

Meaning that as well as offering coaching services, I am now able to supervise the practice, and support the growth, of other coaches! 🎊

Very rewarding learning journey, with all my supervision practice so far taking place in nature πŸŒžπŸŒ±πŸ’š
