Eighty-seventh day
Sara (and Tim), Bermondsey Street, London

"One of the main reason why I could stay in London was that I cycled. I tend to stay on the outskirts, like I don't stay to the Central too much but I don't really have that many problems, I always find everything works out quite smoothly but I literally love it though even when it's raining, I don't care.

He (Tim) built my bike for me, he says it is much cheaper than buying one."

Eighty-sixth day
Alex and Aran, Borough Market, London

Alex: "For me it(cycling)'s about being with your friends and laugh - it's a social thing and trying to push yourself as well sometimes."

Aran: "You can talk to your friend while cycling. You can't really do that while you are running. So much effort."

Alex: "We've done few cycling tour to Paris and Amsterdam and there are lines of people and you chat and chat and chat away. You never use heavy breathing."

Eighty-fifth day
Sterre & Hannah, Theatre Royale Stratford East, London

Hannah: "Sterre is from Amsterdam and this adaptive tandem bike was given to us from Amsterdam when she was a child. I think it's a scheme they are doing so that people can learn how to cycle in Holland.""

Sterre: "I like cycling because I can go around and meet friends. Later we're meeting Ellen and go to the bar."

Hannah: "I think there should be more adaptive bikes because like for us it's easy - we can get around but lot of the friends of Sterre, they can't get around or they have to take a bus and they have to pay for their assistant to go around with them. So it makes it easier for us. Everybody knows us as well. So when we are cycling, they always stop us and say hi. So I think that's why Sterre likes cycling because everyone stops us and everyone knows us as camden girls and they always say hi. We always cycle to meet friends."

Eighty-forth day
Jane, Holywell Row, London

"So I think I've cycled pretty much on and off mostly my life. But in London, my son's twenty six so I've probably been here about thirty five years and I've been biking all that time - on and off.

Coming to Shoreditch where we work for last twenty years, so I've really seen this area change a lot from over-the-top-excitement at Pizza express opening just around the corner to cynicism around the bar or restaurant opening every day.

I mean I go longer go on biking, the more necessary I feel it is to carry on just because it takes so long by bus - so you feel quite smug coming in on a bike."

"I suppose, in London it's just liberating to cycle.
I can't drive, I don't have a license.
It gives me freedom."

Eighty-second day
Laura, Woodseer Street, London

"Oh, I started cycling obviously because it's the quickest way of transport. But also is that feeling of freedom. When you get on your bike, and you feel the wind blowing and it makes me feel like, I know I sound cheesy but, it makes me feel like slightly super human. Because it's still you moving, it's not like sitting in the car or sitting on the bus or a boat. Cause you're still moving and you look at a point and I'm there, whereas if you walk, it's slowly getting to you. So it makes me feel like you got this extra ability.

And as for complaints, I'm sure just like for everyone who cycles, there is not enough space for people to cycle and all the drivers hate cyclists, people die on the road everyday, people hate us. We need more space."

Eighty-first day
Duncan (from bikeworks), Buxton Street, London

"To grow cycling in scale in an urban environment, it can't grow in a lycra-carbon bike mentality, racing around town, doing a six mile commute on a Strava app application and getting there fifteen second quicker than you did yesterday. You go to any continental city, where cycling is growing in a scale, they are on their dutch bike in their suit, getting A to B in nice speed. It's not to say that the chap you see on a Monday morning doesn't wake up early on the Saturday morning, get on his 3k road bike and go for a proper ride, but he knows when to do it and where to do it. And it's not in town."

Eightieth day
Jonathan, Brick Lane, London

"Getting from A to B.
It's getting from A to B essentially but it's also engaging with the city. It doesn't mean huge amount.

I had this bike for about eight years. And prior to that I had a bike for ten years."

Seventy-ninth day
Lucas, Whitechapel Road, London

"My personal experience of cycling in London is that I enjoy it and I respect the cycling community. I never really had any experience but I guess sometimes I'm sort of worried when I'm on the road because I know that there are dangers and I think that maybe I would be more likely to cycle freely and regularly if there was a more progressive and proactive approach to safety such as whitening the roads, creating independent lanes.

Cycling is the best way to experience London, it's the best way to find your way around, best way to get to know the city and for me, I've been here five years, I'm an artist, I think it's been a big part of the way that I learn how I interact with the city. And I guess that's it."

Seventy-eighth day
Jason & Amos, New Oxford Street, London

SPIN LDN special

"In London there is not enough places to ride, not enough flat areas to do free style - that would be my complains for London.

We've cycled our whole lives and we do free styles.
I used to watch this guy doing it and I started doing it."
