We now play at Stocking Pelham's ground in Ginns Road.

Birchanger 128 (I think)
We won by a lot anyway
170 plus opening partnership between Russ (87) and Neil (49) set us on the way. 2 dynamic cameos from Josh 33 in 15 balls and Foxy 26 in 13 balls took us to a commanding 264 in our 40 overs.
Birchanger set off at a rollicking rate, reaching 50 in the 5th over, before James Wilson made the breakthrough with the help of a good catch from Pete. The introduction of Josh reduced Birchanger to 67-7 and despite several rain interruptions and a stubborn 8th wicket partnership we eventually wrapped up victory. Josh took 6 - 25, James Hampton bowled well for his 2 wickets.
Highlight of the day, was possibly Pete being reversed ramped by a 13 year old kid.

Thundridge 151 AP
Albury won by 43 runs.
Albury secured their first win of the season.
Batting first Russ Dibley provided the backbone to the innings with 80 runs, ably supported by Josh with 20 and James Hampton 43.
2 early wickets for Peter Hanks and Mark Jolley put Thundridge on the back foot at 10-2.they recovered to 56 before the 3rd wicket fell and they lost wickets at regular intervals thereafter. Tom Wilson took 2, Josh and James Hampton 1 each, but the star bowler was debutant Brendan Moore with 4 wickets for 24 runs.

We play in the Herts & Ess*x league, Division 6.
Can you bat like Joe Root or bowl like Jimmy Anderson? No...... well you will fit in beautifully at Albury CC. A friendly club, where enjoyment in a good game on a Saturday afternoon is more important than winning at all costs. Although we do our best to win!
