🌟 Revising My Social Media Presence 🌟

I’ve decided to reimagine how I use social media. As much as I appreciate the connections I’ve built over the years, I no longer want to invest my time, energy, and creativity in platforms that align with tech bro, incel, right-wing, or Christofascist ideologies.

I won’t be deleting my existing accounts on X (Twitter) or Meta apps (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp), but I’ll be giving them considerably less of my time and attention.

• X (Twitter): It’s all but done for me. Notifications are off, and I’ve stepped away entirely. Honestly, I was never a big fan of Twitter.
• Meta Apps: Leaving these is more complicated. After 11+ years on Facebook, and with so many personal and professional connections, I can’t delete my accounts entirely. You’ll still be able to message me, and I may post updates occasionally, but I’m moving them to the background.

Instead, I’m shifting my focus to platforms that feel healthier and more aligned with my values:

✨ Communia: This is the app I’m most excited about! It’s a space exclusively for women and non-binary people, focused on health, wellbeing, and support. If you’re already on Communia, let me know so we can connect! If not, I highly encourage you to check it out.

✨ Patreon: I’ll also be building community here, offering exclusive content centered around spirituality, my work, and the services I provide. If you’d like to support and connect with me on a deeper level, Patreon is the place!

✨ TikTok & Clapper: I’m already active on TikTok and now exploring Clapper, which feels like a more mature TikTok (though this age demographic could change if the U.S. TikTok ban goes ahead). These platforms are great for video content and live streaming—let’s connect there if you’re already on!

✨ Bluesky: I’m diving into Bluesky as a promising alternative to X. Still getting to grips with it, but I’m hopeful!

✨ Clubhouse: This app, centered around live, in-person audio communication, was a big thing for me during lockdown. I’ve already built a community here and am looking to reconnect after being absent for a long time.

The people I connect with here on Facebook are a varied bunch. Some I know very well and have a shared personal history that goes back decades, others I have never met in person and others are at every point in between. Recently I have had new people connecting that I haven’t met outside of this online realm so I thought I’d share a little bit about who I am, what I believe in and what I do. An introduction, or for many a reintroduction! For anyone new to my page maybe this post will help you decide if I am someone you want to connect with! I’m also happy to answer any questions if you have any.

A little bit about me:

I was born in London and moved to Scotland before my first birthday. My childhood was spent in the rural Scottish farming and fishing communities of the East Neuk of Fife. I returned to the hustle and bustle of metropolitan London living in 1986 aged 13 and I’m still here, living a very London life.

I’m culturally a mix of England and Scotland. I went to school and learned Scottish history, literature, poetry, dance and I lived the culture and spoke the language. In London, starting as a teenager, I lost my accent and found my independence, reached adulthood, I worked, had relationships and became a mother and my sense of purpose. I lived the culture that is London, which is unlike anywhere else in the world because it is a melting pot that is made up of everywhere else in the world. I’ve always felt like a citizen of the world and also never really felt like I truly belonged anywhere. In many ways London is built for people like me and I feel like “Londoner” describes me more than any nationalist label.

The feeling of not quite fitting in anywhere, of not belonging is something I’ve come to realise comes from the differently brained perspective. I am certain of my neurospicyness despite not having a formal diagnosis. I recognise that my perception of the world is different and I see the advantages and disadvantages of this.

For those who are interested in astrology, I’m a Ta**us Sun, Sagittarius Moon and have recently come to understand I am an Aquarius Ascendant ( I don’t have my exact time of birth ), having previously believed it was in Pisces. My Venus is in Gemini and Mars in Pisces. Make of that madness what you will 🤪

My political values are socialist, anarchist, feminist and vegan in nature. I know that I am an idealist and yet I long for our collective self governance. In the political system that is currently imposed the only vote that counts is how we choose to spend our money, what we support with it and what we choose to boycott.

In the system imposed upon us there is no true freedom to be found. We are merely given the illusion of choice despite our inherent spiritual free will. This is true, no matter which country you live in. Blue or red? Just another version of the duality of this physical plane. Each and every government is a hierarchical structure that creates disparity and seeks dominance and control through division, using propaganda, class systems, xenophobia and racism.

There is a different system where I find my freedom, autonomy and peace. My spirituality. There is the interplay of Destiny and Freewill. My understanding is that even our Destiny… unavoidable predictable events pre planned for this life are my requests, agreements and karmic contracts that I made pre life for my souls growth. So in this I have freedom and autonomy in all aspects of my existence.

I have a deep understanding that I am connected to All That Is which some of you might call God. I am a spark of the Divine Source Energy of which part of “me” is made physical, descended into the physical plane so that through the illusion of forgetfulness and separation, I may witness and experience the Divine itself.

I have a deep interest in comparative religion as a subject but little to no involvement in anything that looks like organised religion which for me is an anethema. To me it seems that faith is a personal relationship with Source Energy and religion is the control and intervention by an intermediary in that relationship.

I grew in a house of books and ideas. I was influenced from the youngest age by multifaith approaches, exploring Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, Ta**ra and more. I read books on the pantheon mythologies of the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Mexicans and Nordic peoples. From Yogananda to Leary, Jung to Watts, Crowley to Castaneda my spiritual understanding arose from this heady mix.

My personal faith has been more experiential and is most closely aligned with Paganism. (I am not a Wiccan!) I am drawn to paganism because I feel a deep connection to nature and its cycles and changes and the ways in which we are apart of those cycles.

I have always sensed energies. I have never questioned our existence after physical death because I have always had the evidence before me. I have experienced the Death transition, the light of Oneness, the life review which is a part of the “judgement” process (it’s actually a self assessment) and the gardens of peace and healing. I knew I had to come back but also knew I would prefer to stay! As a result I do not fear death for myself or others.

From childhood I had a fascination with divinatory practices, particularly Tarot, Astrology and Runes. I also had an innate understanding of Archetypes and Symbolism which meant I had a particular knack for Tarot and Dream Interpretations.

In the mid 90’s to early 2000’s I studied Holistic therapies. I learned in detail about the bodies anatomy and physiology and its beautiful energy system. I came into a deeper understanding of the microcosm / microcosm as it relates to our physical being, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Shiatsu and more. As was drawn to plants as medicine and food, through a passion for Aromatherapy, Herbalism and Nutrition. I took better care of myself, overcame some chronic health issues and addiction and became Vegan, having been Vegetarian for the 16 years prior.

During this time I changed in other ways too. I undertook four years of talk therapy. I knew deeply that if I was to be able to truly help facilitate others in their healing journeys with the skills I was developing that I needed to do my own inner work.

My psychic gifts were growing too. I faced various challenges at this time, living in a haunted house for one thing. My growing light, focused as I was on energy work and healing was attracting every oogly boogly around to play with my unhealed traumas and shadow self. What can I say? There were lots of bumps in the night until I learned how to manage and protect my spiritual energy, cleanse my spaces energetically and to shut down as easily as I opened up!

I was discovering new spiritual thought leaders, such as Joseph Campbell, Shakti Gawain, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hayes, Deepak Chopra, Diana Cooper, Richard Carlson, Karen Kingston, Lyn Grabhorn, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss, Byron Katie, Echart Tolle, Esther Hicks, Denise Linn…..(I could go on and on. If you are still reading thank you for your patience!)Each of these people who added new wisdom to my understanding of Spirituality and Consciousness gave me what felt like insights that added to my own sense of knowing, like missing puzzle pieces being added back into the picture.

In 2006 I became a Mum. When a child is born so is a mother. What an amazing journey this has been. My daughter will be 18 in a couple of months and my understanding of motherhood is still ever changing. She has taught me so much, about her and other people but mostly myself. I could write whole books on this alone but ultimately I can sum it up as transformation that navigates sacrifice, gifts, growth, selfless love and self love, attachment and detachment.

At 39, I found myself a single having left a 23 year long relationship that I honestly never expected to leave. I celebrated my 40th birthday with a few dear friends as a newly single parent living in a homeless shelter for women with children. It was a challenging time but I also felt a deep sense of freedom. I was changing yet again and finding myself once more.

When I found my new home in a new area I wanted a sense of connection and community. I needed a village to help me raise my amazing child. So I started my first women’s circle that lasted for a year meeting every new and full moon. I met the most amazing people and it sparked a passion for connecting with other women in a supportive circle. I have run many circles since and it always fills me with joy!

Rather late I discovered the wonderful Hive in Dalston, East London, the flagship project of Respace a non profit organisation that seeks to reuse and repurpose empty spaces for the communities they are in. I got involved, volunteered my time when I could, worked at a variety of events and met a whole new soul led community that greatly widened my network of creative, inspiring and passionate people!

The pandemic led me to search for community yet again, when I found clubhouse. I created The Tarot And Tea Psychic Cafe spiritual collective, the online members expanding the already established London based team I had previously connected with when working at spiritual events. I am now connected globally with amazing psychics, healers and guides who are also some of my dearest friends.

I’m now 51 and my journey of learning, understanding and self awareness is still very much ongoing. I consider myself a forever student of life. Along with my passion for knowledge is my other passion, my work.

All of us are seeking happiness and I feel a key ingredient of happiness is fulfillment. For myself fulfillment comes from service. I feel that I am in service to the Divine. Knowledge is a gift that is meant to be shared and it is my deepest pleasure to share my knowledge and skills in psychic insight and guidance, energy healing and various healing modalities, transformation and personal growth. I get to do work that I truly love. Every day. I get to see people have insights and breakthroughs, to see them embrace thier fears and challenges and overcome them, to open to self love, connection, rebirth and transformation like Phoenix and vivacious, fabulous butterflies . My clients inspire me to be the best version of myself for myself and for them. To be the best guide, facilitator, healer and coach that I can be.

So I hope you feel you know me a little better now! If you would like to work with me please get in touch.

With love Melanie
