The Streatham Youth Ice Hockey Club actively encourages the development of young players and aims to develop them in all aspects of the game: individual skills, game play, team-work and leadership. Our training sessions and games are held at the brand new Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre,

here are currently 5 age groups in the club - U9s, U11s, U13s, U15s and U18s. The U9s have players as young as 5 years old. TRAINING TIMES

U9s: 6:00-7:00 pm Mondays
U11s: 6:00-7:00 pm Mondays & Wednesdays
U13s: 7:00-8:00 pm Mondays & Wednesdays
U15s: 8:00-9:00 pm Mondays & Wednesdays
U18s: 8:15 - 9:45 pm Tuesdays

Congratulations to Leon on his selection for GB U16! 🏒🇬🇧

Leon began his journey with us at Streatham at U12, before earning selection for England’s second team at U14 and stepping up to England’s first team at U15 — where he recently helped the side beat Spain, Belgium and Scotland at the Fife Four Nations tournament.

Now he steps up to a new level entirely, representing GB U16 against tougher opposition — Hungary, Estonia and Latvia’s HS Riga — when the squad travels to Estonia at the end of August. A fantastic achievement and a reflection of his hard work and progress over the years.

Everyone at Streatham is incredibly proud. Well done, Leon!

COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

Streatham is excited to announce the addition of Katie Lulu to the coaching team. 🎉

Katie is a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator (GSR) who also works on the England Hockey player development programme. Katie specialises in injury assessment, rehabilitation and prevention, and she’ll be supporting our players with recovery, performance, warm-up/cool-down and stretching programmes, plus guidance on nutrition and player wellbeing.

Katie will boost our ability to support developing our young players off ice, and is a taster of things to come: we’re excited to welcome Katie to the club! 🎉🎉

BIG NEWS! 🚨

Streatham is proud to announce a new 3-year strategic partnership with Impact Hockey Development 🇨🇦

Based in British Columbia, Canada, Impact is one of North America’s leading player development programmes, led by Tim Preston. Following a prolific, five-year junior career in the WHL with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Tim was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the 3rd round of the 1999 NHL Draft. With over 25 years of coaching and player development experience, he is the founder and director of the BC Lightning and BC Bandits elite junior programmes, developing some of North America’s top young talent. Players from his programmes have gone on to become top class NHL standouts, Stanley Cup champions and Olympic medallists.

This partnership is the latest step in strengthening our player development pathway, following the appointment of our new Head Coach, Stanley Ratcliffe (also England U14 Head Coach), the recruitment of experienced non-parent coaches, and the introduction of a club-wide skills curriculum and player assessment programme with tailored feedback to players, in collaboration with Vid Jazbec of the JV Ice Hockey Academy.

Over the next three years, our players and coaches will benefit from:

💻 10-month online development & mentorship
💪 35-week off-ice and shooting development programme
📈 Coach education and tactical alignment

🏒🟠Streatham Youth Ball Hockey is here!

We’re proud to launch our brand-new ball hockey programme as a division of Streatham Youth Ice Hockey Club — making the sport more accessible than ever at just £3 per session.

These fun, fast-paced Saturday morning sessions focus on skills, fitness, and game play — all without the need for skating.

Led by top-level coaches Wes Tetreau (3x GB Masters player) and Josh Mroczynski (GB international across U16, U18 & U20 World Championships), players will get high-quality coaching in a supportive, energetic environment.

Perfect for developing skills, building confidence, and most importantly — having fun!

Streatham Youth Ice Hockey Club is proud to announce the appointment of Stanley Ratcliffe as our new Head Coach.

A former Streatham player and coach, Stanley brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has worked with the England National Development Programme, where he was part of the coaching staff supporting teams at the prestigious Quebec Peewee Tournament, as well as at top European competitions. He has also played for, and been part of the coaching staff with, the Streatham Redhawks NIHL 1 team.

We believe Stanley is uniquely qualified to help take Streatham to the next level, and we are excited to begin this new chapter with him as we continue developing the future stars of Streatham.

Welcome aboard Stan!!
