6 reasons youāre not toning up šš¼
1. Not enough protein
No protein = no muscle. Aim for 1.6-2.2g per kg of bodyweight.
2. Too much cardio, not enough lifting
Cardio burns calories. Lifting changes your shape.
3. Youāre not in a calorie deficit
āToningā = losing fat. That requires eating less than you burn.
4. Inconsistency
2 good weeks + 2 bad weeks = no progress. Itās the most boring reason and the most common one.
5. Youāre undereating overall
Chronically under-fuelling slows your metabolism and breaks down muscle. Eating less is not always the answer.
6. Poor sleep & recovery
Your body changes outside the gym. Poor sleep = poor results, full stop.
Fix one. Then the next. Itās not complicated - itās just not always easy.
