ONE BUS TICKET. ONE BACKPACK. ONE KESWICK ADVENTURE.

Last weekend, I stayed in Keswick for two nights.
As many of you know, I’m currently working my way through all 214 Wainwrights, the fells described by Alfred Wainwright across his seven famous guidebooks to the Lake District.

The original plan was simple: use Keswick as a base for a couple of big days on the fells.

What I didn’t expect was to be reminded just how much there is to do in the town itself.

I jumped on the bus from Kendal on Thursday and arrived to less-than-ideal weather. The fells were off the cards for the day, but staying indoors wasn’t an option.

After dropping my backpack off, I headed into town and, of course, made my way to Moot Hall. For anyone interested in fell running, this building is iconic. It’s the official start and finish point of the Bob Graham Round, the legendary challenge of covering 42 Lake District peaks in under 24 hours.

Directly opposite sits The Round pub, named after the challenge itself. Great burgers, great atmosphere and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Keswick.

Later, I walked down to Friars Crag. It’s only a short stroll from town, but the views are anything but ordinary. Looking out across Derwent Water towards Cat Bells and the Jaws of Borrowdale, it’s easy to understand why it’s often described as one of the best viewpoints in the Lake District.

The following two days were spent properly out on the fells, with big routes starting from Grisedale Pike and Cat Bells... but those are stories for another day.

What this trip reminded me is that Keswick isn’t just a gateway to the mountains.

It’s a destination in its own right.

Whether you’re heading out for a Wainwright, grabbing a coffee, learning about the area’s rich fell-running history or simply enjoying the views by the water, there’s always something waiting around the corner.

Have you been to Keswick before? ⛰️

Last month we took things outside for Earth Day 🌿
Move + Connect was exactly what it needed to be — simple, relaxed, and full of good energy.

A group of lovely women, a walk up Benson Knott, dogs, chats, fresh air…
sometimes that’s all it takes.

If you’ve been wanting to meet new people, move your body and get out in nature — this is your sign 💜

Drop me a message if you’d like to join the next one.

Not perfect. Still showed up.
That’s where it starts 💜

I just thought I would share something.

For a lot of people, walking on the fells is just something we do to stay active or to get some views...but it’s not.

Sometimes, it’s also a place where we go to
disconnect from the world and to connect with nature, to just be with ourselves, it’s where we find space, quiet and calm.

Where we switch off in order to know what the next step is.

I know I haven’t been doing this for a very long time but I’m enjoying every minute of it, even the steep climbs (well…most of them lol).

Today, it wasn’t the highest fell but it was the one I needed.

Straight into a climb from the start… the kind that wakes you up instantly.

We set off from Troutbeck, chasing the ridgeline across some of the Far Eastern Fells — and straight away, Thornthwaite Crag made sure we earned every bit of it. Legs burning early, heart rate up, questioning life choices… you know the feeling 😅

But then you get to the top… and everything shifts.

From there, it was one summit after another — Froswick, Ill Bell, Yoke — rolling ridges, open skies, and views that just kept giving. No trees, no shade, just full sun all day long… the kind that drains you and fills you up at the same time.

25.6km later.
Over 1,100m of elevation.
6+ hours on our feet.

And honestly? Worth every single step.

It wasn’t just about ticking off fells (70/214 👀), it was about being out there — moving, laughing, pushing through the climbs, and sharing it with good people.

Days like this remind you:
You’re capable of more than you think.
The hard parts pass.
And the views at the top? Always worth it.

Legs were definitely feeling it after… but that’s the price of a great day in the mountains ⛰️🥺

This is your reminder that training doesn’t have to feel overwhelming 🌿
It can look like:
Showing up
Moving your body
Getting outside
Meeting people
And slowly starting to feel like yourself again
That’s what we’re building this month 🤍
If you’ve been thinking about starting… this is your sign

06/04/2026

What you see is the session
What you don’t see is everything around it
The planning
The adjustments
The conversations
The small changes each week depending on how someone is feeling
Because no one trains the same
And it shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all
That’s how you build consistency
And that’s how you actually make progress
