In November 2004, I spotted a LifeCoach’s promotional flyer at a gym near London Bridge. At the time I was a 40 year old TV producer who had lived, studied and worked in Brazil, the USA and France and was now back in London. I had a successful career working for independent TV production companies making and editing programmes for the BBC and helping to launch new cable channels. The first thing m
y LifeCoach asked me to do was answer this question: if you were living your best life, what would it look like? It sounded like a fairly easy question at the time but it was trickier that I imagined because I’d never really stopped to think about what I wanted my life to look like. I was too busy worried about what the programmes I was making looked like, what my body looked like and what my bank account looked like as I had a mortgage to pay. I knew I wanted to be "happy" but I didn’t really know what "happy" looked like. Thanks to coaching – to the awareness I gained through it and the responsibility I took for my life as a result of it – my life changed completely. Not only did I achieve the goals I identified in 2004, but I went on to achieve many more. From finding a work/life balance and spending quality time with family and friends to setting up and running a TV business, dating, having fun, getting married, spending time near water (rivers, canals, lakes or the sea), walking the last 100 miles of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage when I was 50 - on my own - and a lot more. Retraining to be a LifeCoach became one of my long term goals. Because I want to do for you what my LifeCoach did for me: help you identify your goals, witness your achievements and celebrate your successes. And like the yellow arrows of the Camino, I want to help keep you on track and moving forwards so that you can get from where you are to where you want to be and live your best possible life. So if you want to improve your work/life balance, tackle some midlife challenges or go after your retirement life goals, please get in touch.
