The Haji Juned Patel Memorial Series of T20 Cup Competitions continues!

We have successfully concluded our first competition, the T20 Storm Super Cup, last Sunday with Safeskills Cricket Club crowned as 2026 Champions - many congratulations to them.

Now all eyes turn to our second final:

The NationalCricketLeague (NCL) is proud to continue hosting the largest Twenty20 competitions in the community, with all 94 teams across their respective divisions entered into the draw.

This Cup is played in memory of The Legend himself, Haji Juned Patel, older brother to our NCL Co-Founder Nahed Patel.

Haji Juned Patel was a much-loved and approachable figure who mentored and inspired countless cricketers in our community. He was instrumental in helping assemble the National Cricket League, supporting the vision in 2012 when Sunday cricket needed a much-needed change to help our game strive and thrive.

His memories live on through these Cup Competitions and through the talented cricketers in our community with the T20 Storm concept.

❤️ This final is not only a celebration of cricket, but a celebration of his life, legacy and lasting contribution to our community.

We warmly invite the entire cricketing community, friends, families and supporters to join us for what promises to be a very special occasion.

NCL LEAGUE — MATCH 14 | MATCH SUMMARY

FLOW CC 1st XI VS Amez United 2nd XI

FLOW CC 1st XI ARE THE NCL GOLD CHAMPIONS! 🏆🥇

FLOW CC won the toss and decided to bat first, knowing this was a crucial championship-deciding match.

Captain Arif led from the front with a superb 58 runs, giving the team the much-needed solid start. Juwel, the permanent opener from the 2nd XI, stepped up for this important match and gave Arif great support, scoring a valuable 34 runs.

Then came a match-defining innings from our most reliable middle-order batsman and FLOW CC poster boy, Adnan Islam. Under pressure, Adnan played a brilliant innings of 83 runs and played a vital role in taking FLOW CC to a strong total.

Adnan received excellent support from Anis, who scored 31 runs, and Vice Captain Ahad, who contributed 23 runs.

FLOW CC finished on 283 runs from their 40 overs.

🎯 BOWLING & FIELDING

In return, FLOW CC bowlers went onto the ground with one clear purpose — to finish the job!

Strike bowler Saidul provided the first breakthrough, with Tahbib taking an athletic catch.

The wickets continued to fall:

Adnan Islam — 3 wickets
Parvez — 2 wickets
Arif — 1 wicket
Umesh — 1 wicket

Captain Arif was outstanding in the field, taking two excellent momentum-changing catches and also contributing to one run-out.

Tahbib added another run-out to complete a strong fielding performance from FLOW CC.

Amez United were eventually bowled out for 154 runs in 29.1 overs.

FINAL RESULT

FLOW CC 1st XI won by 129 runs and became the NCL Gold Championship Champions! 🏆🥇🎉

For his outstanding all-round performance of 83 runs and 3 wickets, Adnan Islam was deservedly named Man of the Match.

FLOW CC 2nd XI is runners up of National Cricket League 2026. It’s an amazing achievement for the team and the club.

It’s meant to be the transitional season for this team. But the players showed their grit and commitment to showcase their talent and skills throughout the season. At one point it was too close to call “who’d be champions” of this division but in the end off the field decisions made by other teams sealed the fate. Nonetheless an achievement the club and the team is really proud of.

Ahmed Faruqee, the new captain led the team to achieve promotion next season for championship division. We congratulate the captain and his team.

Ahmed Faruqee said in his statement, “ I am lost for words about what we have achieved this season as a team and club. Especially the boys played exceptionally well for the majority of the season. Our winning percentage is 83% which is phenomenal for a new team. It shows the talents and ex*****on of the skills by these amazing players. It’s only upwards and onwards from here on! I can only thank my team for backing me up all the way to the end of this long season!”

The two top bowlers of the season in one frame. Competition matters but what matters the most is the humility and the spirit of the game! Congratulations Taqee Awan for winning the crown of the best bowler of the season in Emerald Division. Ahmed Faruqee, our 2nd XI captain wasn’t far off! 👏🏾

Match Summary: FLOW CC 1st XI vs Super Thunder CC

National Cricket League | Championship Division

Super Thunder CC won the toss and elected to bowl first.

FLOW CC 1st XI got off to a strong start, with opener Vibes providing early momentum with a quick 38 runs. Captain Arif then played an important innings of 27 runs.

A middle-order collapse put FLOW CC under pressure, but Shaveen and Anis rebuilt the innings with a crucial partnership. Anis scored 33 runs, while Shaveen produced a vital knock of 66 runs to give FLOW CC a strong platform.

Late in the innings, Parvez added valuable runs with 14, helping FLOW CC finish on 259 runs and set Super Thunder a challenging target of 260.

Super Thunder's chase never got going.

Saidul Islam and Tahbib tore through the batting lineup, making the FLOW CC bowling attack virtually unplayable.

🎯 Saidul Islam: 6 wickets from 7 overs
🎯 Tahbib: 4 wickets from 6.4 overs

Super Thunder CC: 81 all out in 13.4 overs

FLOW CC 1st XI completed a massive 178-run victory.

Saidul's incredible 6-wicket haul also earned him a Gold Award from NCL, making an already outstanding performance even more special.

Jahid will be undergoing open-heart surgery, and we humbly ask everyone in the FLOW CC family, our friends, supporters and well-wishers to keep him in your prayers.

Fearless Lions of West Ham always play the game in the true spirit of cricket. Today was another proud example of that. Our commitment to sportsmanship and respect was recognised by everyone at the ground, and we were honoured to receive tremendous appreciation and respect from our opponents' supporters.
