OPTIMUM FOOTBALL CONSULTANCY MATCH MVP - the honor that recognizes influence, drive, and match-winning brilliance was awarded to WILLIAMS OGUNDARE, in the Matchday 2 of Nationwide League One against Choice Fc.

Williams, an electrifying winger who lit up the game with pure danger. From the start, Williams looked like a problem his opponent couldn’t solve. His high pace turned every attack into a sprint toward goal, while his dribbling ability left defenders scrambling and second-guessing every move. He wasn’t just running at people he was becoming a menace, controlling the rhythm of the flank and forcing constant panic in the opposition’s back line.

And when the match demanded results, Williams delivered with the kind of clinical impact that earned headlines: he scored a brace, helping his team secure all 3 points and push momentum further in their campaign.

An afternoon where nerves frayed and hope nearly vanished, Optimum FC, the Lions of Owo Kingdom, roared back to life.

Trailing Choice FC 2–0 in the First Half, with the game slipping away, it looked like a comeback was out of reach. But then the Lions found their rhythm. One spark turned into momentum, and momentum became belief. Optimum pressed with purpose, attacked with hunger, and refused to be written off.

When the final whistle blew, they had overturned the damage to win 4–2, completing a comeback that will echo in Owo long after the match ended.

This wasn’t just a win, it was a statement: THE LIONS DON'T RETREAT. THEY RETURN.

After a brutal beginning to the NLO 2026 season, the Lions of Owo Kingdom, Optimum Fc are refusing to let disappointment define their story.

It all started with a hard blow: in Week 1, as Optimum Fc fell to Olukismet FC.
Today, in Week 2 against Choice FC, the Lions will bring a different mindset: hunger fueled by what they know they can become. The defeat hasn’t broken their spirit, it has only turned up the urgency in every training session, every tackle, every run.

This is the moment for the Lions to bounce back, to turn pressure into purpose, and heartbreak into momentum. In a season where every point matters, Optimum Football Club next move could be the spark that flips their campaign from struggle to comeback.
