BUCKWHEAT
- Low GHG emissions, water footprint, land use per gram of protein
- Considered a superfood (nutrient-rich food that’s especially beneficial for health and well-being)
- High-ish in protein 3.9/100g
- Complete protein source (contains all of the essential amino acids)
- High in complex carbs 21.0/100g
- High in vitamins and minerals
- Linked to improved blood sugar control and heart health
- It’s a pseudo-cereal but behaves like a grain. A little bland but a great addition to dishes for a low impact protein/health boost!! 🚀

Buckwheat Currrryy 🍲
- Prepare 100-200g buckwheat as per the instructions (it’s so simple/quick to cook)
- 2 red onion
- 3 garlic cloves, ginger
- Fresh chillies
- Diced tomatoes
- Spinach
- Tomato passata
- Tomato purée
- 2 ex.vir olive oil
- Season as per your curry selection
- Tin of chickpeas 6.7/100g
- Cashews 19.8/100g
- Coriander for garnish
- Salt + pepper to taste
- Natural yoghurt

Cooking instructions:
Onion + garlic + ginger + chillies + oil > seasoning + purée > chickpeas + tomatoes + cooked buckwheat > spinach + yoghurt + cashews > plate + garnish > serve w/ brown rice or wholemeal bread

- Low in fat
- High in fibre
- High in vitamins and minerals
- NASA scientists have bookmarked it as a suitable crop to be grown in outer space, based on its high nutrient content, ease of use and the simplicity of growing it 🌎

QUINOA SALAD 🥗

- 80g quinoa cook as per instructions
- 1 red pepper
- 1/2 a cucumber
- 1 small red onion
- 5 spring onions
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp ex.vir olive oil
- Tin of chickpeas as it was light in protein 6.7/100g
- Parsley finely chopped
- Salt + pepper to taste

Cook quinoa, wait for it to cool, stir everything together, serve chilled

This is not a duplicate I swear! Try out this HIIT workout next time you’re stuck for ideas!!

5 exercises, 4 rounds, 40 seconds of work per exercise, 30 seconds of rest in-between; 5 min warmup, 10 min cool down!

We plant trees when you come and train at our live sessions and as you smash your health and fitness targets! This is facilitated through our amazing partners . Eden plant trees across the planet in several locations, but the mangrove trees planted in Madagascar, Haiti and Indonesia, are the focus of this post.

Scientific studies have shown that Mangroves are one of the most effective and economic methods of offsetting carbon emissions, and sequester carbon at a rate two to four times greater than mature tropical forests. Each mangrove tree planted by YOU removes over 308kg of CO2 from the atmosphere over the growth life of the tree, an average of 12.3kg per year per tree.

Mangroves are also renowned for being a key part of coastal ecosystems, they provide nurseries for countless species of fish, protect the coastline from erosion, and guard against storms/tsunamis.�🐠🐡🐟
So come and join us this week on Insta Live, get fit and plant a tree, starting from tomorrow at 18:15 for our Level 1-2 HIIT class. On Tuesday we have Level 3-5 HIIT, Yoga on Wednesday, mobility on Sunday. These sessions are free and are a gift to you from during these tough times. 💚
