🎉 Publication Day — STRANGERLAND
Happy publication day to Monika Radojevic () and her powerful new novel Strangerland, out today from .

London, 1990. Zivoin is newly arrived in a strange country. The dependable oldest son, he works all hours of the day and night, sending every penny he can save back to his family. On the news, he watches his homeland, Yugoslavia, slowly fracturing.

Thousands of miles away, in the tropical heat of Uberlândia, Brazil, Alegria prepares to leave behind the country – and the family – she loves dearly. Bright and ambitious, she strives to give her parents the life they deserve, even if it takes her far from them.

A chance meeting throws Alegria and Zivoin together – and for a brief moment, they feel at home. But their journey is just beginning, and what follows will draw them irresistibly across countries and continents, leaving them both forever changed.

The powerful, exhilarating debut novel from an award-winning new voice in fiction, Strangerland is a heartfelt testament to the endurance that has come to define a generation of immigrants. Above all, it is a soaring, emotionally rich story about the power of love to transcend languages, borders and time.

📚 Publication Day: LIFE NUMBER NINE by Joe Heap () (Paperback)

Out in paperback today, LIFE NUMBER NINE is the latest extraordinary novel from Joe Heap, the critically acclaimed author of The Rules of Seeing and When the Music Stops.

A sweeping, time‑slipping love story, the book follows Mika and Jem — two strangers who recognise one another not from life, but from a shared dream. As these visions (or memories?) intensify, they are drawn into the possibility that they have found and lost each other across centuries… and may have one more chance at happiness.

A bold, compelling, and beautifully crafted novel about connection, destiny and the many lives love can take.

Huge congratulations to our client Abigail Balfe on a major new deal with Puffin, who have acquired world rights in a three-book series.

The first title, This is NOT the Diary of Izzy Dobson, publishes 2 April 2026 for readers aged 9+.

Told through diary entries and doodles, the story follows 12-year-old Izzy as she navigates school, friendship, bullying, a Very Annoying Mum, a Very Annoying crush on the postman, and a beloved Nan who is unwell. Izzy is autistic and has ADHD, though she does not yet know it, and is trying to make sense of a world that rarely makes sense back.

This marks Abigail’s fiction debut, following her British Book Awards shortlisted A Different Sort of Normal. With her trademark warmth, humour and insight, Abigail brings Izzy to life in a series full of heart, hilarity and honesty.

We are thrilled to see this dazzling, inclusive new series join the Puffin list.
