I’m saying goodbye for now 😌

Happy International Women’s Day.

Unfortunately on this day, I can’t help but feel saddened by the lack of progress our world has made yet again this past year in the quest for equality.

The right to adequate reproductive and maternal care
The right to education, healthcare and economic security
The right to have a seat at the table

Why won’t the world realise that where there is a woman, there is magic?

It’s that time of year! Whichever hemisphere you reside in, you probably have a worldwide audience which means sleep consultants all around the globe will be talking about the clocks going back or forward.

I’ve seen information on the clock change shared in a lot of different ways.

But based on what you learnt from my most previous post, how will you share this change uniquely, clearly and in a way that captures your audience’s attention?

What is the pain point you will speak to?

The pain point I reference when it comes to the clock change is - Early rising.

So instead of doing a post with the headline “The clock change is coming!” Or “Are you ready for the clock change?”
. My headline would be:

“Want to know how you can solve your baby’s early rising with the clock change?”

I even hosted an Instagram live and talked my audience through the clock change and early rising and it led perfectly into selling my early rising guide.

If you’re in the opposite hemisphere your pain point might be a late bedtime - “Has your child’s bedtime creeped closer to 9pm this summer? Bring it back to 8pm with the clock shift!”.

This can lead into a sale too - “Struggling to get your child into bed regardless of the time? Let’s work together to make bedtime a breeze for your family!”

Get creative and see this not only as an opportunity educate but also to sell your services 😉

Anyone else feeling a tad overwhelmed right now?

Whether it’s social commitments, work commitments, family commitments or business commitments, December has a way of making me feel equal parts excited & cheerful and overwhelmed & burnt out.

2023 is just around the corner and I could not be more ecstatic about all the amazing things I have planned for my Sleep to CEO© students, Halcyon Sleep (I’m going to be hiring! 🙈) and just life in general.

This year has been a tough one so I’m taking the next four weeks to focus on recuperating and re-energising myself so I can show up and give 110%.

If you’re feeling burnt out or overwhelmed, don’t put pressure on yourself in these last few weeks of the year. Focus your energy on the things that will help set you up for a fresh start in 2023!

Also take the time to reflect on how far you’ve come and all you’ve achieved this year. Starting a business is not easy. It’s one of the biggest learning curves you will have in your life! To get as far as you have in the time you have had to put into your business, is bloody incredible 🫶🏼

My first 2nd sleep guide priced between £19.99 & £29.99 made £4,300 in 4 months

All whilst I continued to work in my FT job & take 1:1 clients.

Sleep guides are often seen as a lot of work for a low return on investment.

My plan is to stay in my full time job & slowly but surely achieve all my goals plus roll out all the plans for Sleep to CEO©!!

💥 To exceed in my FT job

Two huge priorities when starting your business.

More important than perfecting your website or deciding on your Instagram aesthetic, growing your email list is the *most* valuable tool in your business.

It’s great to have a big Instagram following or loads of YouTube subscribers. But those platforms aren’t yours. And as we learnt in the great Instagram outage of 2021, or when someone gets hacked - all those followers can be gone in a flash.

Plus stats show that you see way more engagement and sales through email marketing over social media alone.

Things you can achieve with an email list:

→ Increase website traffic by sharing new blog posts you’ve written
→ Direct your audience to your new podcast episode boosting your downloads
→ Nurture your audience by providing value and support
→ Help your audience know, like & trust you through storytelling
→ Introduce new offers, sales, collaborations and more
→ Ultimately you can SELL to you audience

The best way to get people onto your list is to create a CTA (Call to Action) with a lead magnet. A lead magnet is usually a freebie or discount your audience get in exchange for their email address and permission to contact them.

Make your lead magnet speak to a problem your audience may be having and allow to give them 1-2 steps of the full transformation that your paid services offer.

For example you may do a free guide on sleep regressions or nap transitions. Something people will find useful that speaks to their current situation.
