Things I do as a Coach that aren’t very coachy:
1) I eat chocolate everyday
2) I don’t go to the gym everyday
3) I bake and therefore eat a lot of baked treats
4) I’m not the leanest, biggest or fastest
5) I love a cold one on a summers night at the local
the list goes on…
Social media seems to give the impression that a PT or coach should be shredded, massive, faster than Usain Bolt, and runs marathons on weekends for fun.
However, although more often not, like myself, PT’s are extremely active and enjoy going to the gym and exercising, we are also just normal folk.
Do I have an expertise in helping others with training, nutrition, and body composition goals? Yes.
but this isn’t to say that don’t enjoy beers with the lads, takeaway nights, eating out, and a big f**k off bag of pick a mix at the cinema.
So the next time you see a PT online, remember that they were probably in your position and might not be too far from where you want to get to…
and the chances are, that they enjoy a lot of the same things you do, they just know how to wangle it in their favour😅
