The North of England Under 14 Junior Strokeplay Championship — a European Golf Rankings Points Event played over 3 rounds at The Bradford Golf Club, Leeds.

Date for diary, 1st November 2026, will see entries open for the 2027 event, from 28th-30th July, at Chester le Street Golf Club.

Our 2017 North of England Under 14 Junior Strokeplay Champion holing the final putt yesterday in The Walker Cup. Hard Work, Dedication, and Talent on show. Josh came over from Dubai to play, and his father was complimentary of the event, and the pathway to further success it provided.

Hi Everyone

As part of 2026's event close out, we have just emailed you a survey document.
You will notice it comes from a new email address, that is lined up with the event domain.
The [email protected], is now redundant, we have no access to it.

Looking forward to your responses, which we will use to further improve the event for 2027.

News about a possible further event, that has been requested many many times over the years, is also within the survey document.

ROY CASE

Would like to let you all know that event founder Roy Case, passed away last Wednesday. After a highly successful business career, he then devoted all of his efforts into Junior Golf, eventually becoming President of England Golf. He founded The McGregor Trophy from Ratcliffe on Trent, and had a major input on many golfers, with some making there way into professional golf. We first met Roy in 2009, when we visited him to gain knowledge for an upcoming McGregor Trophy. He imparted so much knowledge in a kind, considerate way, he made the effort we put in, all worthwhile, and i know the event we delivered made him and England Golf proud.

Directly after that, we spoke again about filling a gap in the junior schedule with a Under12 event, that eventually became the Under 14 event as is now. From 2014-2019 the event was administered in its entirety by Roy, and we always attracted a large field.

2020 the event was passed to us, and we have started to move the event around the county, and North area, as we look to improve the events reach, this is something Roy was in total support with.
Standing still is not an option, that would leave to eventual failure, something that we don't want. Up until very recently, we were speaking regularly, bouncing about ideas and suggestions, looking to continue the event improvement.

Within golf, he will leave behind a huge legacy, and as part of that, we are truly thankful.

We would like to pass on our condolences to Sharon and Shaun, and all of the family, he will be a huge miss.

Congratulations to Jack Whaley, from the Rotherham Golf Club on his win at the US Amateur Championship, at Merion Golf Club.

Jack played in our championship in 2016, at the time off a 15 handicap.

Hard work, talent, and dedication lead to day's like yesterday.

Well done from our event organiser's.
