Celebrating Frontline Workers, Veterans, civilian communities … unsung heroes who selflessly step-up without hesitation or fanfare. LASvsPALS will be raising funds for LAS, Looseheadz and PALS. Founded and run by volunteers, LASvsPALS is the inaugural Frontline vs Veterans event, established by Pals Battalion CIC, inspired by GRENADIER GUARD Elliot Hennell who sadly took his own life in 2020. Sunday 12th September 2021 London Ambulance Service (LAS) XV play Pals Battalion (PALS) XV, an inaugural ‘Frontline Services vs Veterans’ charity rugby match hosted by Richmond RFC. The game was established by Veterans organisation Pals Battalion and is dedicated to the memory of GRENADIER GUARD Elliot Hennell who sadly took his own life in 2020. Elliot was a stalwart member of Battersea Ironsides Rugby club for many years and as a soldier served in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq completing three tours of Afghanistan. The rugby fraternity is embracing the mental fitness conversation and PALS is teaming up with to improve and save lives by providing a safe space to talk.
